so what does everyone think of the current Sci-Fi expert on T4?
You know, I was in with a chance myself. Vernon showed my entry after 'Enterprise' a couple of weeks ago.... and someone at T4 called but I haven't heard anything since. That’s just plain rude in my opinion!
Anyway... Stuart 'The Claw' has the job at the mo'. There’s nothing he said last week I didn’t already know… and I could expand on many other aspects of both ‘Stargate’ and ‘Enterprise’ to great effect, ultimately bridging any gap between the shows and audience.
Jealous, moi? Absolutely! I was going to cast multiple votes to get rid of Stuart but thought better of it. After all, the boy done good.
I stopped watching when they insisted on talking all over the credits, and mocked the shows they were airing.
If they thought they were being clever then they failed miserably, at least as far as I was concerned. I watch programmes I like, and I don`t appreciate those programmes being made fun of. I`m sure I can`t be the only person who thinks this. But being lucky enough to have Sky (which has usually shown the programmes before C4 anyway), it means I don`t have to put up with Channel 4`s inane presenters.

Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.
I totally agree with you Angelus. I put up with T4 at the time, but now that I no longer watch either SG-1 or Enterprise, the morons can say what they like, and I don't have to endure it.
They're still bloody annoying during The OC, though. Happily they don't mock it or its viewers the way that they do with sci-fi.
It`s not nice to mock someone over their real name, though.

And no, it's never nice to mock anybody over anything. We do know this, mother.
However, as Sourpong is NOT her real name, then mock away.
If I can accept (and laugh at)David Boreanaz being called David Boringass, then substituting Sourpong for Sarpong is also OK.
You`d `av thought she`d change it for a more Dynamic one though, wouldn`t you? Unless she was never called "sourpong" at school.

That's a relief, I rhought I was going to be asked to share the joke with the rest of the class
Apparently there was a guy in Australia called Mr Itchyanus who was plagued by crank calls for years. So yes, it's no laughing matter. Stop sniggering at the back there!
One of the most depraved, and therefore funniest, names was Dick Emery. I guess the censors were rather innocent in those days...

Keep it up, Stuart mate… you have my support.
Lose ‘The Claw’ though…
Thanks for the comments and thoughts Ren Angel. I try to do my best by everyone and have to make it as interesting as I can for not only the fans but the casual viewers as well. I also try to use facts that I have gleaned from the interviews that I have had for my radio show, so as to mix it up a little bit. I am sorry that you already knew what I said and try to relate SG1 and Enterpise to boths sets of fans but as you can imagine in the time you have, things inevitably get left out of my script or we dont have time to do them.
Thanks to for the votes and I appreciate you not casting multiple votes for my demise. I would also like to thank everyone who has voted for me and also those that have voiced their support/ opinions/feedback on these and other channel 4 forums. I appreciate it all, good and bad and like I said I try to right by all but as we all know that isn't always possible. Oh and Ren as you probably have seen "THE CLAW" thing is something people like and so it looks like it will for now stay. People have even come up to me in shops (Manager) and nightclubs and done the Claw to me! Very Surreal! So apologies if it annoy's you! But just imagine the stick my family get, lol. All the best and a great xmas and new year to all!

What about Dick Van Dyke? Surely more contraversial considering what dyke can be slang for.
Talking of T4 - I can just about stand Vernon and June, it's those Pop World muppets I can't endure. Especially the mop-head who thinks he's the next Jimmy Carr.

I'm now completely convinced that the vote results count for nothing, and T4 make their own decision on who to have as the SciFi Expert. I mean, I'm sorry, but the public just aren't kind enough to have given the Blacksmith a second chance after his fairly appalling performance last week. Unless all his friends and family were block-voting non-stop all week, there's no way he would have been voted back.
This week, with more time, he seemed completely overcome with nerves, gave no real useful information, ummed and erred far too much and the only moment he showed any confidence at all was when he said, "I've got a big hammer"!
Obviously Vernon didn't help, cutting him off all the time, but I suspect it was mostly irritation because the guy kept hesitating before answering. Why does he think he's an expert anyway?
I doubt he'll be back next week. Maybe T4 decided to give him another chance but I think he blew it.
I agree. i missed his pitch befroe Stargate but saw it before Enterprise, was very impressed at all. Didn't seem to know anything, not that I can talk as I don't know ewt about Sci-fi anyway, but you'd think if he was going on TV they would test him or summut.
I get what you mean about Vernon, I thought he was trying to push him along, but also making fun of him. Eg he said what do you know then before the Blacksmith could answer he said thank you etc.

Haven't seen the Blacksmith, but in his defense, the week I was on with Vernon he was kinda distracting compared to Steve. Mostly in a funny way except had to do a retake when he made a few suggestive comments about me and the claw in one take. Obviously had no idea how to reply - my first instinct was to reply with something that couldn't be broadcast at that time of day so I was just speachless!!!! until the camera was off and I called him a b*****d (in a nice way) - which come to think about it- could explain why there was was no option to vote me back in on the website the following week !
