Angel is/was way better than Spike. So ner

I preferred Angel to Buffy, it was more adult and the slayer did annoy me a tad. Although having only watched the first three seasons of Buffy maybe I'm not best qualified to say!

I personally have a different take on the supposed "rape" attack.

Sex between Buffy and Spike up til then was violent. They were equally violent with each other. We saw a few occasions where Spike roughed up Buffy and it led to explosive sex between them.

Spike at first assumed the encounter in the bathroom was a similar starting point. When he realised that THIS time Buffy really did mean no, and that she was getting upset, he backed right off and was incredibly disgusted with himself. He didn`t need a soul to realise he crossed the line.

The thing is, Angel said on a couple of occasions that for all her size, she was stronger than him. So she should have had no problems in fighting off Spike, hurt or not.

The best and funniest Angel episode is:

Followed by Spin The Bottle.

I also loved In the Dark.


And for Angel and Spike sniping at each other, the best ep is from season 5 Just Rewards.

Fav Buffy eps include Angel, Graduation Day, What`s my Line, Beauty and the Beasts.

I do have plenty of others, but I`m still awake after a night shift, and I can`t think of them at the moment!

Those of us lucky enough to have sky, has any one else noticed just how many channels are carrying Buffy at the moment?

Apart from Sky 1 & 2, there is the Sci Fi channel, AND FX.

I noticed that FX had a 5 hour marathon of Buffy on sat afternoon. 2/3 eps of season one and 3/2 eps of season two.

I also thought Angel was better than Buffy.

I still enjoyed Buffy, But Angel is still my favourite.

i probably couldnt pinpoint my fav episode in buffy, the best one was apocalypse nowish in angel. and with the whole spike vs angel thing. season 5 cant remember the episode but it was spike vs angel and who won, thats right, spike

You mean 'Damage'? If so the 'who won?' is highly suspect.

EDIT: I meant 'Destiny' not Damage. Though I do like the latter esp the moment at the end shared by the two vamps.

As Spike hilmself said - Angel only has a soul because he was cursed. Spike went out and deliberatly went and got himself a soul.

Spike`s soul is here to stay, but Angel`s is not permenantly attached - unless Jenny Calender`s spell that Willow chanted in Buffy season 2 firmly anchored Angel`s soul. We shall never know beause they never tested the spell out. Everyone just assumed that it came with the same restrictions that the original gypsies installed.

techinically spike never went to get his soul back he just said he did, he went to give buffy what she deserves and he was meaning to kill her, the demon was the one who decided that he should get his soul back.

Spike went to get what he wanted. He thought that was to get his fangs back. The demon gave him what he really wanted.

Anyways, that doesn't alter that Spike did something bad when he was a soulless vampire. Why should he be hated for it later, when he has his soul back? Are we supposed to hate Angel for everything that Angelus did?

Whether Spike INTENDED to get his soul back in very much open to debate.

However, exactly HOW would a Witch Doctor deactivate a behaviour Chip?

Darla went to a Shaman in South America. Why would Spike travel to deepest Africa? Surely South America is easier to get to? Spike would have needed to Fly or sail. Flying is not an option, as there is no way that he could guarentee that the sun`s rays would never touch him (unless he`s on a private jet that`s "vampire proof", and I doubt that there are any such planes outside of W & H). Sailng the Atlantic is no longer a "cheap" option. It`s very much an upmarket way to travel these days.


When Spike was rambling to Buffy, he mentioned that "Angel should have warned me". If Spike never went to get his soul returned, why would he have complained about Angel never telling him the consequences of getting his soul back?

Plus...... If Spike getting his soul back was a double cross by the demon that gave it to him..... then why does Spike fling the way he got his soul back in Angel`s face as opposed to the curse that put back Angel`s soul? Spike said that HE was that "Vampire with a Soul" who would get Shanshu beacsue HE was the one that deliberatly went out to get a soul.
