In interviews Nathan has said he`s forever in Joss`s debt. a) for allowing him to show that he can play evil charactors as well as the lightweight comedy stuff he was previously well known for. and b)giving him the lead in a major movie, thereby showing the "business" that he can carry a film.

It has opened doors for him that were previously closed before Firefly came along.

I do`nt think you`ve done any damage. We have mentioned previously that Nathan will be appearing as Kate`s otherhalf early in season 3.

I remember it being discussed even before it was announced that C4 had lost the rights.

Traipse immediatley down to your local asda or tescos and buy one of their cheapy under £30 players, and put a decent player at the top of your hastily revised chrimbo list.

Put a DVD on your finger, spin it very fast, and hope.

Angelus - Superdrug are selling DVD players for £19.99 at the moment. May have to invest.

Trouble is that the DVD player that's broken is part of a TV/DVD/Video combi, and I have no idea if I can attach another DVD player to it.

People who work in TV stores call those TV/video and TV/video/DVD combi things a curse. They're a dreadful idea, and break down all the time.

You should be okay, though, so long as there's a SCART socket at the back to plug a standalone DVD player into.

Yeah, whatever you do do not ditch the TV/dvd/vcr combi.

They usually come with a scart or two in the back.

I have a very old Matsui TV/VCR combi. My other half wants to replace it with a up to date TV/DVD combi. I keep putting him off, as I am able to use the vcr part to tape SKY BOX OFFICE shows off my planner. I can`t do this with a more modern machine (be it a more modern vcr recorder, or DVD recorder). Obviously , my old combo was going before Sky intoduced their copy blocking software. It wasn`t until I bought an updated VCR and found I couldnt tape Sky Box Office that I understood when other people said it wasn`t possible to record Box Office.

Is it me, or has C4 forums changed things? The top of the page has suddenly got massive sized fonts, and I`m actually replying on a white reply board, which isn`t usual on the Cult Forums.

Ditto. I actually thought that the forum had disappeared because while the page was still loading all I could see was whiteness and I was so used to seeing the purple. They like to keep us guessing.
