I thought they already had a DVD out.

I`ve met one of the cast. The lady who played the butch female prisoner. Can`t think of either name at the moment. But I do rememmber the actress is very sweet and gracious.

John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.

Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.

The only official DVD's which are out Angelus are 3 compilation box sets. Anything else are rip-offs - such as the junk being sold on E-bay. Val Lehman who played Bea Smith (red hair, main prisoner, worked the laundry press) is heading a campaign to have the whole series from Episode 1-692 released onto DVD. Her webiste tells you more.

The 'butch' female prisoner to whom you refer could be Carol Burns who played Franky Doyle. Or if the lady was an Officer (screw!!) then it could be Maggie Kirkpatrick who played Joan 'The Freak' Ferguson. Do either of those help you? Smile

Not all of the dvds on ebay are junk. I bought all 692 episodes about a year ago and have no complaints about them whatsoever Wink

She toured the theatres in a play called "Alibi for Murder" back in 1989. She co-starred with Paul Darrow (Kerr Avon from Blake`s 7). I saw the play in a number of theatres around the country. Wink

Well, karenjet there as I've already said, there is a Company who is ready and waiting 'in the wings' to release the full series onto DVD. Apparently all members of Val Lehman's TDC will receive a discount. So, it's worth checking out the website and signing up to the Top Dog Club. http://www.val-lehman.com and then go to her Bulletin Board. Wink

You're welcome Karenjet! Wink Do let me know when you've become a fellow member! Big Grin

Thanks for the support. It all really helps, espcially when an Actress is taking the time to support the fans - many stars wouldn't be bothered. Cool

Looks like ebay has had a serious look at a lot of the dvds currently selling there.

They`ve delisted all the "Two guys a Girl and a Pizza Place" DVDs that were up there.(including the set I had just completed buying - just contacted the seller to see whether he`s going to send on the disks or refund the money)

Obviously all the Doctor Who Christmas Invasion stuff has been taken off.

I`m hoping that they don`t delist another couple of items I`m currently bidding on before I get my little mits on them! These are also off air copies from the TV where no official DVDs/Videos have ever been released.

But.daaaaaaaaaamn!! 692 hour long eppies of PCBH??? That is one devoted fan!! Thats 173 four hour vids, less if they`re recorded in long play (with substantial loss in quality).

Do you know, I don't think they would, they would just expect someone else to do the job for them!

Good! It's about time E-bay got wise to these rip-offs!! Oh you'd be surprised how many people were alert enough to spend the couple of years or whatever it was recording every single episode!! Especially when you think about what time of the night the stupid TV stations transmitted it at!!! Roll Eyes

A couple of years???!!!!

Thats one ep every night.

When I watched it, it was one ep a WEEK!!

To be honest, I don`t class this stuff as "rip offs".

I will buy media from other peoples off air recordings if it is the only way to get said stuff. If the TV companies won`t put out legal merchandise for the fans to buy, then people will obtain things by other means.
