yeh the two-parter coming up is really good! sort of the kick up the bum Atlantis needed to get it from a relatively good show, to a great sci-fi show! from this point on things definately get better and better. im onto episode 5 of series 2 which is supposed to be a really interesting episode! im loving the sci-fi genious of creators these days!

Friday's ep a little less snoresome than the rest. I still hate Weir though.

Is she your Daniel Vern?

I'm not too fussed about Weir. I *heart* Sheppard and Mckay. And on the is Atlantis better than SG-1 debate I'd say some of its episodes has been compared to the later SG-1 seasons. I find it a breath of fresh air and reminds me of why I love SG-1 so much.

Yes, she most certainly is. Different levels of irritation but she deffo gets the thumbs down from me.

Don't you sometimes feel that Sheppard is just watered down Jack O'Neil ?

Not directly no, but a lot of the previous posts were along the lines of 'if you compare it to sg-1' and pigeon noted that you were never fully going to appreciate Atlantis if you kept comparing it - hence my comment.

Is it that they're both so cautious and always going on about the morality of everything?

Yes. There are some lines where I was thinkig they would've been funnier if Jack had delivered them. Nonetheless I still like him as a character and hopefully there is more to him. Also anybody else notice the similiarities between the Jack/Sam and Sheppard/the woman from the other planet whose name I can't remember relationships?

Big Grin Then its OK for me to say one of the reasons I like Sheppard is because I think he is fit Red Face

Same here. I think Friday's episode would have been much better if they'd have focused more on Sheppard or McKay. Although i am biased, seen as they're my fav characters.

Well they did say Jeni was everywhere, I knew something like this would happened as soon as red lighted device I knew who they were but it has brilliantly planned now he wants the whole base, sometimes you just know Sheppard is going do something to make them leave. Still I blame laky that is two guys standing at the gate, I mean protocol off-world activation is tell commander in-charge wait for that person to reach the Gate. Instead they let it through without her, granted she would let them through but we don’t know that.

I thought last night's episode was pretty good. Funny how the main part of the storm manages to miss where Teyla, Ford and Carson are though.

The whole 'shoot Weir' thing was annoying. We know he's not going to shoot her as she's in the second series, unless he shoots her in the leg or something. That Kolya is a piece of work.

Got to love McKay. I've decided that he's now my favourite character.

Can't wait for the 2nd part next week.

True Smile

What's up with Teyla's hair? They really need to give her a good hairstyle.

Am also wondering how McKay is going to be able to reroute enough electricity to power the shield now that 1 of the grounding thingies (sorry, forgot the name) doesn't work.

Thought Friday's ep was fantastic. The show is really coming along and it's getting better. It was ep 10 i think on friday- i still can't believe the series has been on for 10 weeks. Recents weeks eps haven't been exciting as some of those of SG-1, but Friday's was ace, can't wait for part two.

Great lines:
Zelenka: “You know, you’re not pleasant when you’re like this, McKay.”
McKay: “I’m always like this.”
Zelenka: “My point exactly.”

McKay: “It’s a brisk walk away.”
Sheppard: “And by ‘brisk’, you mean ... ‘far’.”
McKay: “By ‘walk’, I mean ‘run’.”

Nuts! That would have been "Hot Zone", one of the best episodes in the season, IMO!
