No, I mean the proper Days Of Our Lives, without anybody from Friends in it. Though I think Victor, one of the town's two evil megalomaniacs is played by Rachel-from-Friends' dad.

I don't know that it's being screened anywhere in the UK at the moment, unless it's on one of the myriad satellite whatsits. TVU player is a (legal) gizmo that let's you watch American TV on the internet, provided you have the patience to sit through two million adverts every five minutes. Americans must have the patience of saints, they really must.

Generally I cheat, though, and just watch the edited highlights courtesy of you-know-where. So many members of the cast have changed heads and come and gone, it's hard to care about them. I'm mostly just interested in the weird and wonderful world of John Black. He's recently been brainwashed (yet again) by the town's second evil megalomaniac, who faked John's death in order to kidnap him and program him to be his own personal soldier (again). John's now a complete amnesiac (again), with most of his emotions removed as well, and has taken to living in a mansion with the mad scientist who wiped his mind (who he saved from jail on the understanding that the guy would be his butler). It is utterly, utterly mad. Recently John's wife (semi-estranged, on account of the brainwashing and amnesia) has moved in with him, along with her daughter, and her daughter's set of twins (who have separate fathers, just to add to the confusion). I don't know who writes this stuff, but they are brilliantly, brilliantly mad. Although not mad enough, apparently, as Stefano, the better of the two evil megalomaniacs has just been sacked. No fair. He rocks.
