You're supposed to write them after watching the episodes.

watched the first episode of season 2 today after work... all i can say is, what the hell is with amy's hair? i mean.. i know it was the eighties, but... c'mon! also, i noticed the 'bad guy hq' was the same as in 'skins', are all african based bad guys flatmates? is this timeshare? or do they maybe hire the same firm of builders? last night i watched the last episode of season 1... (i'm on a ramble.. unusual for me... but i digress.) totally geeked out at a young m. c. gainey (mr friendly aka tom aka zeke from lost), which also leads me too... yet another hicky bad guy called deke. there's been a lot of dekes... nice to see the guys all dressed up military style for the funeral... murdock looks good in uniform, especially since his pilotness meant he didn't have to wear a silly beret. i've havered on for too long... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Deputy Sheriff of Stationary Village~ i'm the nuts one! my room and board depends on it... * Hufflepuff of the A-team thread R.I.P. cult tv forum * go altador! * #2 of the IT Crowd Fan Club * #1 of the Moss Fan Club

Can't imagine, Buggy. You watched Nice Place To Visit last night, then hh? I love that one. It's a great Face episode, not that I'm biased or anything... Fabulously silly bit where they all remember Ray at the funeral, though. When Face tells the story about the helmet, it always makes me giggle, which I'm fairly sure isn't the expected response. Also love the bit when the van rolls, and Face and Murdock have to extricate each others bits. Er... as it were... Not sure where Ray fits into the whole team thing, though. I guess The A-Team were a unit within a unit. And he was in the unit, but not the unit. Er... yeah.

maybe there where more people in the unit than the a-team, but they are the only four involved in the hanoi bank raid... it's a shame about ray *tries not to start singing*, he seemed like a decent fellow. face was good in that episode, as was murdock... but then murdock is always good... right? *glares at everyone to make them agree* ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Deputy Sheriff of Stationary Village~ i'm the nuts one! my room and board depends on it... * Hufflepuff of the A-team thread R.I.P. cult tv forum * go altador! * #2 of the IT Crowd Fan Club * #1 of the Moss Fan Club

Murdock and Face are always good. No, see, it's the four of them who are special. Ray could have been in their unit, but it was the four of them who were called The A-Team. So there must have been a special special ops unit within the unit. Otherwise why would it be those four who are so close? It creates problems when they introduce old friends into the equation.

I think their unit was larger than the four of them. They seemed to know Ray's personality pretty well, ie when Hannibal asks the wife where the rest of the weapons are, knowing he'd have an arsenal. Jees, I'm just thinking, was it the four of them that did the job in Hanoi? It couldn't have been because Murdock wasn't on trial? I'll have to hunt out the trial episode. Here, just googled it to find out and a result came up saying the A-Team movie'll be coming out in 2008?? How can we stop it??? It's okay. An A-Team movie has been listed as in production since 1997. They move the date forward a few years every so often, but nothing's come of it yet. And no, Murdock wasn't on trial. He flew them into Hanoi, and I think picked them up afterwards, but it was assumed that he didn't know what the mission was, or something. And he'd never have stood trial anyway. In the books, I think they said that he had been shipped home before the trial. But the books don't really count, I guess. What with the bullet-riddled bodies and all. And Face's virtual communist moment in book ten.

Found it. Page 132-133. The book is "Death Vows" by Max Hart, and it's a novelisation of "Till Death Us Do Part". You remember the scene when Face and his "wife" are alone together, and he's all nervous and jumpy? I think she disturbs him when he's on guard duty or something. In the book there's this additional scene. It's not communisty really, but it's just so totally not-Face. quote: "My life is one long crusade. That's how we all feel. There are terrible injustices in this country, things that you would never have known because you've been pampered all your life. When I was born, I didn't have any parents. They were dead, I was alone. So I go by my street knowhow, and you by your credit card. We're on opposite sides, can't you see? I'm battling the people who've supported you all your life."
So it's Face against the wealthy. Just ignore the fact that he's always striving to be wealthy himself. And ignore the fact that it's a bit tough to be born alone with your parents already dead.

ok, face is always good too... just... not as good as murdock... i think face was just acting up in his panic there. trying to distance himself from 'wifey' a wee bit... like the commitment phobe that he is.

No, that's not how the rest of the scene was written. The books aren't known for exactly capturing the feel of the show and the characters. And that one's worse than most. It begins with a woman being strangled in a phone box.

That's the craziest thing I've ever heard. 'On opposite sides'??? he's just hoping she'll flash him the credit card (no dirty innuendos Mickey!!) so he can make a mental note of the number and scam some nice threads on it. Where did you get these books? They should all be burned for the blasphemy they promote!!! Mods: Please don't commit the A-Team to the forum underground..pretty please

best. continuity error. ever. BTW, watched the Children of Jamestown the other night. Amy's handcuffs are tricky feckers. it's a plot by the leaders of the handcuff defence league! umm.. sorry, last nights a-team watching involved murdock fighting for the rights of golf balls... there was a moment with hannibal, i wasn't sure if he was willing to humour murdock this time, he looked so annoyed.

That's the Bread Roll one isn't it (sorry we'll have to wait for Mickey to get here for the correct title!) I love that episode. I think Hannibal was on board with the golf ball liberation society, but there was a moment I think Murdock caught him on a bad moment. It's important not the annoy the colonel! *salutes to Colonel Smith* I love in Diamonds and Dust (1st one of the 2nd series) when Hannibal decides the only way to take the dynamite to the mine is up the cliff and by smiling at Face, elects him to carry it with BA. Face says to Hannibal, 'Don't you smile at me. That's not even a smile it's just a bunch of teeth playing with my mind!' Mods: Please don't commit the A-Team to the forum underground..pretty please

Let's see, where are we... *attempts to respond to posts in order* Bought the books in WH Smiths largely. In around 1986. The Charles Heath ones aren't too bad, though they seem to be written for adults. The Untold Story, which is set in 1973, is actually very good, and the characters are realised pretty well in that one. It's set in a made up African country, and features, amongst other things, Face having a fling with Colonel Lynch's daughter. Er... Amy's handcuffs in Jamestown. Told you. Did you notice that Face's hands were tied behind him, and everybody else's in front?! Totally not fair. Poor Face. Golfballs is "Recipe For Heavy Bread". Good one. I don't remember Hannibal getting annoyed off the top of my head, but he and BA have never had the patience with Murdock that Face has. Face snatching his hand back in case it gets bitten by Billy springs to mind.

Billy! How could I have forgotten him, isn't that the watermelon one? I think Face plays along with Murdock to wind BA up. I can't tell you the relief when I got to the end of the sentence 'amongst other things, Face having a fling with Colonel Lynch's daughter.' Phew is daughter!
