Elizabeth Shepherd was the first Emma Peel. she was very much in the mould of Honors blackmans character, she was blonde and beautiful, and according to the producers totally miscast. An ( almost) completed episode The Murder Market exists. And i want to see it.

She has been shown on an old Avengers calender,
and she has talked to those interested. Its like the first captain and second in command on star trek. ( Sorry I did actually assume you knew, cos you are a clever so and so)x

Star trek was mentioned because i thought those two characters were quite ok, due to memory.

Sorry another thread another time.

Back to another fun show that begins with A.

Ah ha. I don't know much about The Avengers, as I'm not really a fan. Smile As for Star Trek, imho they should have kept Christopher Pike. Kirk is rubbish. Razz

But yes, The A-Team. Smile Crusading against rich people everywhere. *Giggles* Big Grin

No, no, no. It's Decker and Hannibal that would have made the lovely couple.

If Face is in the mood for Murdock, he'll play along, but generally it's to get at BA. Face has got annoyed with Murdock from time to time (Say it with Bullets, when Murdock is the TV character and Face doesn't feel Murdock's stable enough to back up Tawnia).

It's Hannibal that I feel always gets a giggle out of Murdock and certainly the most tolerant with him.

Favourite moment in the watermelon episode, is when they promise Amy nothing'll happen to her Renault 5 and then (obviously!) end up destroying it!

I never got the impression that Face was trying to wind up BA. Funny, isn't it, how differently two people can see the same thing. Smile

Yeah. It's the wonder of the A-Team, isn't it?

I still can't get over that George Peppard was reading from a script. I thought he'd virtually made the character of Hannibal. How fab were the people who wrote/produced/directed??

Did the orphanage give Face the name Templeton Peck? How come he's not called Bancroft?

Ugh. There's a season four episode where he sort of gets given a sort of pardon. Sort of. Temporarily. He talks then about having changed his name half a dozen times as a kid. Not sure he'd be able to do that before he became an adult? And that doesn't really tie in with stuff that was said earlier. There was some screwing with continuity later on.

But he's not really a Bancroft anyway. That guy was not really his father. Razz

i like the way face is with murdock, but i'm kind of in the middle. he does enjoy murdock's behavour for the most part, but sometimes you can see his eye's gleaming at b.a.'s reaction.

i loved the 'someday murdock you'll make someone a wonderful... wife' (cup-o-joe) and the time in the melon episode he's talking about murdock's mind being like ogres and onions (not lilterally...) he was talking 'layers', beautiful layers at that. Big Grin

hannibal seems rather laidback, he just enjoys winding people up.. or at least letting them all wind each other up. (the team at least)

Have watched the pilot episode with the imfamous tim duggan, he seemed to put a lot of effort in and it showed, But it wasn,t an effortless preformance It was hard for him as all the other main actors it seemed effortless, and they paced it well.
Where as Dirk came onto the screen, and it was in tandem of the rest of the team. If Dirk had been on screen decades earlier he would have been a serious contender to cary grant ( who is one of the most graceful actors ever) Iloved the ebb and flo, although the mexican bandit put me of cos he reminded me of Hywel Bennet!
The second episode the children of jamestown, the scene in the shed was sweet and moving (and also poignant when you think of what dirk had been thru) talking to amy about getting used to death. Dwight puts so much into the part that Robin Williams would have been knackered.
George Peppard and Mr T timing and delivery was really good, I used to watch the A team and now I listen to the A team intently cos there are so many lines that have been well written.

(what annoys me on behalf of actors that do this kind of show, that its taken as easy to do. Light comedey is hard to do successfully, but taken for granted. I have to admit being a sad act today, but have also watched the Avengers and Randall and hopkirk deceased too.

( ps its lovely to gabble on about this kind of thing cos at school the girls weren't interested at all > i feel that I am entering my second childhood! hanks for reading bye.. x

Which Randall & Hopkirk? Hint: Answer wrongly and you will be exterminated. Razz

And I agree, it's great to get the chance to talk about the team again. Smile

*Has not just been watching "Incident At Crystal Lake" for the second time in 36 hours*

Honest...

You know, that's as close to a perfect episode as you get, in many ways. Even Decker sort of gets a bit of plot. Great set up for the adventure, with the boys deciding they need to get away for a holiday. And a stuntman whoops towards the end. Big Grin Face is wearing white trainers, but when he does his flyboy thing onto a passing bad guy, he apparently stops to change into a pair of light brown boots first. Wink

Some lovely Face and Murdock stuff, too. Murdock goes fishing with a mannequin, and later on Face goes to do some fishing too. He settles down for a nice conversation with the mannequin, and really gets into it.

And things go boom, which is always good.

Pros and cons, was abit of a duff one for me, but it is a plotline thats been done many times before and Georges hairdresser act well he didn't really relish his preformance at times. However Dwight was ace. and I loved the escape, out of the jail.

One thing I need to ask about Dwight and his preformance. I'm assuming that he got his script and then improvised his preformances. He is the one I feel affection for (thanks for the memories).

Logan on the other hand disappeared under the duvet, and wasn't interested until he poked the cutest nose out and then watched the action for 15 mins.

Mew mew Extended purr mew mew. That was his opinion. AT least there was no licking of any kind. that means he was watching. good. x

Murdock has so much more to do in Pros & Cons that I'm assuming he was properly included in that one by the writers. You can see how much of an afterthought he is in Children Of Jamestown, and to an extent in Small And Deadly Wars, but Pros & Cons I'm guessing was one that was written after he was reinstated. Pros & Cons not one of my favourites either, but every season has its high and low points, and the rest of season one is pretty high quality stuff. Hurry up and watch the second disc. Razz
