Night. Apollo... he suffers from being the serious one, doesn't he. Starbuck steals every scene, with that grin and the cigar, and having a smart mouth. Apollo has to be the responsible one. The grown up. I like how he's always trying to get Starbuck to call him captain in the pilot, though he gives up on that later on. It's quite indicative of the differences between the two characters. A lot of people like Apollo, for being so much more by-the-book, so much more of the traditional military type - so he does have his fans. I'm afraid he also rather suffers from having less interesting episodes. Whereas Starbuck gets the great fun "Young Lords" and "The Long Patrol", Apollo gets lumbered with "The Lost Warrior", which is a yawnfest. Starbuck gets to muck around in the enjoyably daft "Magnificent Warriors", and Apollo just looks po-faced. Apparently Richard Hatch is the serious sort in real life, though, so they were very much cast in type.

enjoyed The beast from the belly of a boeing. I like the more serious tone, Face as usual gets pulled in. and Hitchhiker42 would agree thank god for murdoch. Series 2 with tawnia awaits but I have to get Sapphire and Steel first. A Nice place to visit has been discussed before, but I wished it had been a two parter with Rays relationship with a bit of focus. At least Face gets mad!! *Momma of the A team thread.* ♥ ♥ Critical adorer of the Captain and the Scam Artist ♥♥ rosie glad you are back.

I do love Beast. Face and Hannibal singing, and being really snarky. BA going into those trances all the time. Murdock being cool. The stock footage crash at the end... And Nice Place I have waxed lyrical about several times already, but it really is terrific, and I think I might have to watch it again some time today. Can't do much else, 'cause of the snow. Amy's great in this one, and so are Face and Murdock. Hurry up and get Sapphire And Steele then, Ruby. We can talk about that next. My favourite is Assignment Two.

It would have been a good idea for them fill in the gaps a little better with Ray alright. You gotta love the scene in the cafe when the guy is hassling Amy and Face jumps to protect her. Didn't Murdock jump in aswell? Gotta cringe at the part when Murdock and Face come through the door at the end and Amy and the wife (Theresa or something?) run into their arms!! Been a while since I've seen series 1 they're all on vids and the scart cable is stuck into the back of the telly and I'm afraid to meddle lest the other half should find out! ๏̯͡๏﴿ -(_ )- (__ ) <- My forum betrothed has got cold feet

he does... or at least i think he does... may have been about the guy (m.c. gainey!! ) messing with his soup. i love his reaction when after taking the soup away murdock continues to eat thin air. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Deputy Sheriff of Stationary Village~ i'm the nuts one! my room and board depends on it... * Hufflepuff of the A-team thread R.I.P. cult tv forum * go altador! * #2 of the IT Crowd Fan Club * #1 of the Moss Fan Club

Oh Hitch do you realise that that Hannibal, Face, and B.A would be continously on their a*ses if it wasn,t for Murdoch? *Momma of the A team thread.* ♥ ♥ Critical adorer of the Captain and the Scam Artist ♥♥ rosie glad you are back.

Hey! Face does most of the work! Anyway, I don't see that there's anything to cringe about when Amy and widow woman (sorry, I can't remember her name!) run into their arms. Widow woman has no experience in dealing with such things, is terrified out of her mind, and knows that those people already murdered her husband. Of course she's scared. Amy handles the situation so well, using what she's learnt, being brave, standing up to the bad guys - then she crumbles, which I think is realistic. She's just a young journalist. She's not a soldier. I think it's cute that it's Face's arms she runs into though. She even squeaks his name. They have this brilliant bickering relationship, and it has depth.

Naah doesn't appeal to me. Don't like Amy when she's weak, don't like Amy when she's tough, I guess I just don't like Amy. Would have helped if she didn't drop the bullets all over the floor though ๏̯͡๏﴿ -(_ )- (__ ) <- My forum betrothed has got cold feet

Told you. American radio is scary! Most of the time it's done OTT just for effect, as the whole point is to get the audience riled, and phoning up to join in. But it still makes a wishy-washy liberal lefty like me fall off their chair. Sorry Dirk. You will always be one of my favourite people, but don't expect me to share your politics.

If you don't like Amy, I understand. I'm quite fond of her myself. I like the episodes after she's gone, but I like the ones that have her, too. I think she was a good character. Some odd sartorial choices, mind... Anybody who mentions Face's various choices of attire at this point will get shot. Unless they're being complimentary.
