I think Catherine Tate may be having the same reaction as what Bonnie got for her tenure as the Docs companion. I'll wait and see myself.

Bonnie's problem was appalling scripts, rather than anything she did particularly. She's long since proved her mettle in the Big Finishes.

Catherine Tate, though... Still, got to wait and give her a chance, I suppose.

Wasn't critising her Mickey, but it was an odd choice back to her being a Dodo type companion (you know thats not an insult right?), she was better with Sylvester Mccoy, plus I came into mags like DWB who were so anti John Nathan Turner and fans seemed so vicious, and I think that some of the hard core fans ( you know waht i mean) may do the same to Russel and CT.

I didn't think you were insulting/criticising anybody. But yes, fandom was mad over the whole JNT/Colin/Sylv/Bonnie thing. It got really nasty for a long time. There is the same sort of attitude over the Catherine Tate thing in certain quarters, certainly; but then people hated Rose for being working class, and Martha for not being working class, and Jack for being omnisexual, and Eccles for wearing a leather jacket, and Tenny for... being Tenny.

It was cool to see Colin Baker in the midlands visiting and the kids that know Tenny (aww) were so desperate to see a 'doctor' that the queues were soo long, I mean a good hour and 30 i'd guess, and 90% were kiddies, he saw an awful lot. having to be escorted thru crowds to get anywhere.

i saw a doctor who once at a scifi fair... it's was the guy from all creatures great and small though... he was sat next to ingrid pitt.

this year the same event had andy 'the host' hallet and seamus finnegan... should've went this year... entry got you a £10 autograph for free... *sulks at possible free host autograph*

I would Love to see Andy Hallet * kisses green faced horned man poster on wall* thats the nearest at artistic interpretaion.

By the way you saw Peter Davison the orgasmic Doctor ( it was the way he breathed during his acting in peril situations)
