Just went to see Serentity again in the cinema. Definately better having watched Firefly- except I was a quite emotional towards the end this time (those who've seen it know what I mean!)

Most amazing thing was the amount of female fans there. Think it was 50/50 male/ female. Usually I'm alone being woman at these sort of things (except for a few who've been dragged along as dates).

Just getting through the series boxset now. I am so annoyed they couldn't show it in the UK before the film came out, I think that would have helped.

Just watched 'Trash', which pretty much explains the large number of female fans all by itself.

I've got the feeling I'm well on my way to becoming a Browncoat...god not another fandom...

Sci-Fi Channel on Sky showed quite a few times.

The Americans were miffed because we got to see the remaining 3 eps first (USA fans only got to see 12 eps before it was pulled, whereas we got all 15). And the Sci-Fi Channel showed it fairly quickly after the americans watched it.

I remember buying the boxset from my local woolworths a year or so a go, out of pure curiosity! I had read good things on the internet about it so just went for it. Never regreted the decsision and ive loved it ever since! I hope a successful TV series returns, rather than a series of films as i think TV series have more to offer and can tell better stories.

Firefly is the best sci-fi show in recent times heaps better then Andromeda and Stargate.

How can this only get 15 episodes and Andromeda 110 episodes. This is unacceptable.

I will be buying Serenity DVD. It will have more stuff on it then region 1 as Joss knows Brits love it more then the americans.

There is a region 2&4 2-disc set available on cdwow that has more extras than the normal region 2.

Oh blast, I can't remember. I think when you are in the main menu and 'play' is highlighted you need to press the left hand arrow on your remote. I'll go back and see if I can find where peeps were talking about it.

I know i am kinda late on coming to this thread but just last week my sister got her Firefly dvd set from Amazon....I have heard bits and bats about the series from various people but hadn't seen any of it when it had originally aired. I did know that it had been cancelled in one of the worst decisions ever made by a studio( according to my sis! Razz). Considering i am not a sci-fi sorta gal i am enjoying the first few episodes! I gotta say i love that guy Jayne..River and Simon are turning out to be very interesting characters! And of course Mal is some serious eye candy. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this series. Already i see why fans of the show are so incensed at it's cancellation! Eek

How to find the R4 easter egg - On the main menu, with "Play" highlighted, press the left arrow and the symbol in the centre right will highlight. Press enter.
Some thing to do with River apparently.

I have no idea if this will be on the R4/2 or if it's pure R4 exclusive.
