ah right ok i get you now. it would be pretty impossible but maybe he should try and use as much of the story as he has got at the moment, but take away the stargate and use something different? maybe then he could stil tell his story without affecting the stargate universe, but like i said that would be impossible, because a writer never likes to change his ideas once they are properlly written, and also he probably wants to cash in on the franchise too. Who knows?

It'd be a bit tricky to make a Stargate movie without the Stargate! ;-)

Wow, that's real devotion. I rarely spend more than half-an-hour a day deliberately annoying people!

It's about a team that goes to other worlds, exploring and while they're out there trying to get technology that'll help to defend Earth against the bad guys.

Yeah it's sci-fi. But there's plenty of humour, its generally well written and there's a great dynamic between the main characters.

So you know what you have to do. Sit and watch it with him, and every five minutes ask something like "so the guy with the tentacles and the giant head is an alien right?" and "so this is what you do for fun is it?" Wink

hey i got a thunderbirds video from my local charity shop the other day and i saw a picture of 'the hood' on the back! you may be thinking 'how is this related to stargate sg-1?' but all will become clear. After careful reading of the episode synopsis of the back the hoods eyes catch my eye, and they are glowing just like goaulds do. look for yourself i found a picture that shows it.

Just found this on the Net.......

SG-1 DVD Films Get OK'd

SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1 will wrap up its 10-year run this spring, but that's not the end of the saga. Executive producer Brad Wright told TV Guide that MGM has granted a green light, and enough money, to produce two movies, most likely for DVD.

The first film will tie up most of the finale's loose threads. "It's the climax of the Ori storyline," Wright said, and will be written and directed by executive producer Robert Cooper. The second film, written by Wright, will involve time travel, and both projects should debut in the fall of 2007.

Though no deals are signed, SG-1's stars are said to be "very eager" to continue, Wright added. "They're not big-budget [films] by any definition, but for us it's pretty good," he said. "As we've proven over the years, just give us little more money and we can make pretty good television or DVDs."

The simple answer is, I fear, that no version of Stargate will ever be shown again on any terrestrial channel.

What time and when are they are? Which series are being repeated?

I had a look in DigiGuide, which has listings to the end of February, and it doesn't look as though Sky Three is showing Stargate at all in that time.

I'm going to email them again and ask them for the times in which SG-1 is been shown

Could it be that they got Sky Three mixed up with Sky Two?

Seems unlikely but you never know

I'll let you folks know if I hear back from them

Got a question regarding the current series on sky 1 (series 10).

I know the thread states series 8, but I`m not going to mention spoilers or anything like that.

But is Sky showing the eps in series 10 the same day as USA get the eps? Becasue IMDB mention that the ep "Line in the Sand" was shown on 16/1/07. Which the same day that sky 1 showed the same ep. Or is the UK viewing the show before the americans???

Judging by when the downloads were appearing I reckon the US is either the same as us or a tad behind. However with SGA the downloads are well ahead of us, even the hi-def ones, although I suspect these may have been broadcast in Canada rather than the US.

It's the US mid-season break that allows us to catch up with them. Unfortunately the breaks are starting to make it over here too, which sucks.

I remember years ago Channel 4 was showing Babylon 5 eps before the yanks got to see them, and there was an outcry over there. And yet still we haven't nuked them back to the stone-age Wink
