I watched Spaced last weekend. Still great but i never really took to the second series that much.

Did you read about Edgar Wright , Jess Hynds and Si Pegg were all relieved that the USA won't be making Spaced?, Ed said it was 9 months of worry and discomfort waiting for the decision, and both Si and Jess wouldn't back it.

I thought that the USA were going to make the series anyway, as legally they had the permission regardless of what Simon, Jess and Edgar said?
I really hope they don't remake it as it would totally ruin the brilliant show. I love Spaced by the way I have the boxset.

I highly doubt it will ruin the Spaced that we know and love. It will remain completely separate in my eyes anyway.

Besides, I doubt I'll ever see the American one. I've never seen the American Office, Men Behaving Badly, Absolutely Fabulous (that did have a US makeover didn't it?)... etc.

personally i think any US remake of something ruins it. i mean they're going to do a US version of Life on Mars!! how is that really possible considering the context of the original.

I didn't know if Ab Fab did a US version, but the only success I can think of from UK to USA of recent years, was 'The Office' which has had major praise, but what I remember on teletex, America won't do a version of 'Spaced'

Colm Meaney and Jason O'Mara, 2 irish actors are doing the two main leads of Life on Mars, don't know whether they will be irish or american in this. And as we know with US series it will be more of US LOM episodes than our LOM and Ashes to Ashes, put together, I'd be interested in a peek tho.

I could be lying about Ab Fab, I know there were plans.... might never have come to anything.

But anyway, I don't think of the US office and UK Office as being the same. I wouldn't think of Spaced that way. It would not spoil it for me. And as they are apparently not doing it... there's nothing to be worried about.
