Not the official date for the boxset! has only been anounced recently - it always comes out around that time so you may have heard/read someone guessing the date

Hi,
Of course, you can already buy Series 8 in Europe. I bought mine from Belgium ... no need to wait until next year! It's nice not to have to put up with all those ads, and the T4 stuff.

As a newbie to DVD, can anyone tell me whether boxsets contain different/more extra material than the individually released DVDs? I was thinking of asking for some of the Atlantis DVDs for Xmas pressies but if the boxset will have extra material, I might wait and get that instead.

The boxsets will have exactly the same, extras as the single disc editions! The boxsets are essentially the single disc editions in a set rather than being completely different dvds!

Yes but some of the foreign boxsets do not have the full 90minute episode 18! they only have the 60minute version cut for tv, what does your one have?

Hello,
Re Belgian DVDs: yes, they are in English. The subtitles vary from country to country, but always have English, as well as the second English audio channel.
Re Episode 18: haven't got there there yet. Will let you know!

On Sunday's episode, what happend to Thor's voice? He sounded different to as he has done prviously - has Shanks stopped doing the voice, or did it explain it in 2nd part of first ep which i missed?
"Never let your work become your life, Kerry. Live a little."
"Come on Bert, it's now or never" - Classic.

Mmmm ... My episode 18 is 62 minutes long, so not the full 90.Interesting - I didn't know about that. I wonder what T4 will show. I found a list of missing scenes here (*SPOILERS* if you haven't seen the episode already): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threads_(Stargate_SG-1)

sorry i didnt make myself clear! 90minute episode would have been with the adverts so your 62minute version is the full knock. On the first sets of the DVDs they were just releasing the 40minute version cut for TV, which T4 viewers will probably get and it misses some really good parts out of it! Anyway good to hear your boxset is actually complete. Oh and your link, it does not take you to the SG-1 bit
