Hold on.... I've been thinking. (I know, not good)

Claudia wasn't there when Helen and Nick came back out of the anomolly. Which means that something must have happened when they were both back in the past, not when Helen went back in.

Any changes she makes after returning to the past by herself wouldn't be noticed by those in the present, because their memories would be changed with the timeline, Nick's included.

Is this making sense?

Nooooooooo!!!!
Mad

A goodly last episode - have been very impressed with Primeval - though admitidly I had very low expectations to start with.
Maybe series 2 of Torchwood will be a blinder 'cos I've very low expectations of that at the moment Wink

Perfect sense, yes. The change had to happen before Nick came back through. Something to do with the babies?

I'm puzzled as to what change could have rendered Claudia non-existent, bearing in mind she was having anomaly visions and weird dreams throughout the episode.

I thought about the babies too, Mickey, but how?

I also am not liking Helen.

And objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are.

The babies ate something in the past that later produced the DNA that eventually became Claudia?! Big Grin

It would have to wipe countless thousands of other people from history too, though, to work that way - and that would change goodness only knows what else. So maybe not!

I doubt we'll be seeing parallel dimensions. It would lose the story focus.

i think a world where claudia no longer exists is a parallel dimension.

No, it's this dimension, just altered slightly. For most of the characters she didn't exist until a month or two ago anyway, so it's not as if their whole lives have been changed.

Primeval is back today, 12th January, ITV1

Let's hope we have a decent answer to last season's cliffhanger, but remembering some of the massive plot holes that were around, I'm not getting too excited.

OK, it was silly, and sometimes didn't make very scientific sense, but it was fun. There's not much else to watch on Saturday nights. It should fill the gap until Doctor Who is back.

They look like they're repeating the last episode from season one in the afternoon. I might watch it just to get back up to speed.

I love this show. Smile It's daft as hell, and buckets of fun, and it's got prehistoric beasties in it. What's cooler than prehistoric beasties?!

And we get actual dinoaurs in this series! Hurrah!

Actually, no we don't. We get dinosaurs.

But I'm sure that dinoaurs would have been good too...

I suppose that's one way to get a new set and an official organisation without spending a lot of script time making it happen.

It will change the dynamic of the show. I wonder if it will still work with the team being 'official' now.

I also wonder what else has changed?

Massive plot coincidence that the baby raptor just happenned to be in the one locker that would get opened. Unless you assume that it got in there when the cleaner stored his jacket.

The action figures look great. They'll be in the new Argos catalogue out tomorrow, but there's some talk of them not actually being available until February.

And they're to scale with the Who figures. My little Jack says it quite fancies hunting Daleks and giant spiders with Stephen. Big Grin

I'd provide a link, but I doubt it would survive long. The Argos website doesn't list them yet, as it's currently updating, but several of them are pictured at Amazon.

Worms in the Mist (my name Razz)

EEK! Eek

That just goes to show it's what you can't see that scares you most. Nice idea using the fog, it meant they didn't have to use as much CGI.

Some other notes:

Rex is still there. Good to see he didn't get erased from existence.

Claudia has been turned into a stupid woman! Perhaps she should have got eaten!

Connor should know that you NEVER say things like "We're going to be alright now" (made me jump though)

NEVER ignore a fire alarm! Some people are so stupid.

Who is that mysterious guy that Connor saw? On going plotline me-thinks.

Connor is still geeky. How much though remains to be seen.

Helen's got a haircut, where I don't know. How does she survive, and how come she finds anomolies that always bring her back to our time?

All in all a very good episode, which kept me on tenderhooks.

It was a good episode, wasn't it. Smile Not exactly high brow, sure, but lots of fun, and a nice sense of adventure.

story arcs everywhere-connor's 'girlfriend'-can she be trusted-, helen's agenda, the soldier who was a cleaner in ep1, steven's wavering loyalties, cutter/jenny.

laughed outloud when connor called it early-'i think we're ok'-and got a worm for a hat and the spawning scene was gross!

Stephen's wavering loyalties? He's with Nick all the way.

I think he was just thinking aloud. Let's be perfectly honest - Nick's not making a lot of sense lately. Big Grin "It's evolution gone mad!" No, it's holes in time. There's a difference... Makes sense to consider different opinions.

Still, we'll see. Smile
