I won't come in here until after Monday then, cos that's when I'm watching it(even though I have Freeview). Did anyone else see the trailer accompanied by the 'Killing Moon' track by Echo & the Bunnymen? I thought the trailer looked awful, at first I thought it was a soap trailer for Emmerdale or something! I'll give it a chance.

Here what i thought
Well it was a good start to the series, I enjoyed this pilot more than the invasion one, I think this might become one of favourite sci-fi shows, I tired my best finds flaws in this episode but I ended up enjoy it, whole episode wasn’t enjoyable, it’s what happened at the end, that’s what really grabs you, I knew Dean brother would somehow join Dean for the hunt for their father but I thought he would catch his girlfriend cheating on him, I didn’t expect that his girlfriend would end up like his mother. I was wondering whether Dean arranged this but that’s absurd because he was busy elsewhere.
However there one thing I don’t get which I doubt anyone thought of, let me just get this straight so I can understand, 22 years ago a woman dies in mysterious circumstance caused by a fire, her 2 boys and father escape, we then learn the father has hunting for these supernatural being to find the one that killed his wife and he has taken his 2 boys for the ride?, does this make any sense to anyone, think about it on a normal show a woman died, usually husband become an alcoholic and kid look after their father, they don’t become demon hunters.
The woman in white, I hardly call this scary it was amusing anywhere a ghost killing unfaithful man, I think a woman wrote this part who has been burnt by ex-boyfriend. Still they managed to figure out a way for her sprit to move on.
The special effect are brilliant, seriously I enjoy the special-effect epically fire one.

I really enjoyed it. Thought the leads had good chemistry. I missed the first five mins - did it show how their mum died? Plus the eye candy helps

Ive seen up to episode 9, I like it. Its rather cheesy and has a few duff episodes but its quite fun. Oh and Dean is hot. He has gorgeous lips. Mmmmm.

Thought last night was actually good. Kinda like buffy except with more guns, and no good looking gal, but there's still time. Thought the ghost was pretty scary and the whole story was done ok - got a bit confused about the lads mother but I think I understood it once it had finished. Interesting to see who that figure was standing over the baby who said Shh.

I agree! Although I missed the first 5 minutes like Sumaiya, so the significance of the fiery death was lost on me until I read this thread. Anyone else recognise the woman in white's husband when one of the guys went to see him? He was in the X-Files - I'm sure he played Duane Barry, the dude who got Scully abducted in 'Ascension'. I think one of the producers of Supernatural used to work on the X-Files too. I was disappointed by the first episode of Supernatural, some of the lines were a bit clunky and the plot wasn't great but the ending made up for most of it! I don't fancy either of the leads so hopefully the plots and writing will improve and get me hooked.

I wouldn't have too high expectations for Supernatural Kat. I watched the first episode expecting it to be lame and found it quite enjoyable. I still don't think it has quite decided what it is yet though, it was getting rather formulaic and has only just started to change now. I rather like the relationship between Sam and Dean, I think it has some quite realistic moments. Anyway, Dean is hot. Thats enough for me to watch.

Didn't think last night's episode was that bad, though I don't think it was as good as the pilot.

Yeh, maybe it will improve, I didn't think it was as scary either - I mean the pilot wasn't terrifying but that ghost woman was unnerving, but the Windigo wasn't.

Very true. It might pick up. It hasn't been canned yet has it?

Yeah, well it's nice to watch something like that. The demon slaying programmes have been few and far between since end of Buffy and Angel (have there actually been any?)

To me, nothing really beats Buffy, but Supernatural is alright, the episode about the 'wendigo' thing was a bit of a drag though.

Not a bad episode last night, I thought it was better than last weeks about the Wendigo. I also thought the they might've had the kid guy, though that's not really a happy ending. And it was nice to see Amy Acker in her post angel days.
