I thought Gene Hunt would have a London accent for this series; seeing as he is a a Londoner in real life.

He pulled off the Mancunian accent well in LoM, but he must be sick of doing it by now, especially as his character is now in London & does not really exist as such!!!

Hey guys, long time, no posts for me, but just thought I'd check out what has been posted, and yes we are looking forward to series too, sort of, I guess we just have to not compare too much, cos I don't think they will ever beat the first LoM, so we will just have to pretend it is a whole new thing. Shame they have to do the " time jumping" thing again, as I feel it will be hard not to compare, when they are making the basis so similar........ who knows, we will just have to wait and see Eh!

I watched Life on Mars religiously and then missed the last 3 eps... it was before I owned a V+ box, which has changed my life Best thing ever... Anyway back on topic, I finally got around to watching them today as they're on the Virgin on demand thingy and I LOVED the ending, but I'm soooo confused about what to think! What was real?!!

Hello I have just read that Harvey Keitel is be taking over as Gene Hunt in LOM US version.
The pilot has been accepted but (is it colin meamy who played originally either couldn't or was dropped) so harvey doing it I would watch it actually....

i think the UK version is doomed. the news so far doesn't bode well.
