Ooh but that's not so bad - as I get Channel 4 and E4 at uni - gla dthey're starting the series so soon, rather than putting it on More 4 which i do not get.

Nooooooooooooo! I saw Alex Mk I in something the other day, on abc1, I think it was. No idea what, as I was playing with SCART leads and wiggly cables and things at the time. I guess he's got another job, then.
Might be just as well. Good little actor, but they gave him nothing to do on ER for much of last season.

Dump her, Luka. Now. Jeez...
Actually, there are not too many SANDY beaches in Croatia. Lots of sharp stoney ones though.
With a countryside as pretty as Croatia, who needs beaches anyway!

ER- wow I really do hope it over between Luka & Sam last season was bad with these 2 character, I side with Sam she doesn’t want to have another baby with Luka, that her choice. She right she can’t replace his son and she shouldn’t try. She was quite tolerable in this episode which a surprise, Still I don’t like the actor that plays the boy-he just seem a bit lame at acting. It felt like he was not even trying.
2nd year resident, let start with Ray-his teaching method was less than desirable because he didn’t like people asking question. Neela make her resident cry, that has best comical performance by her character-she had a right to have a go he missed important points, correct him so many times. Abbey I actually thought she did a good job until Prat mentioned she didn’t explained why she did what she did, in fact she did it herself. I think out these 3, 1st place go to abbey 2nd place go to neela and ray in last place. I liked they did that that way 3 then 2 then 1st.
And it's no wonder they couldn't find Alex. They were looking for the wrong kid...
I thought that was poorly done, to be honest. It did seem like it was completely the wrong kid and as though the real little Alex was gonna walk around the corner any time soon.
I liked Luka in this episode - or, as I just typed 'peisode'. A lot. He was great. He was fatherly and supportive and he was, I thought, good on his principles. I liked how we saw him talk about his past and his little boy - and I liked how his Croatian accent came through a lot . I never used to like Luka but oddly enough, even if we didn't see so much of him in the ER this week, I think he's going to fill that void just as well as Carter did for Greene. And yay to that!
I liked Abby in this episode, too. I liked how she took charge and control and did what she thought she needed to do. I liked Neela too. And that student of hers, heh, what a handful!...Hmmm. **doesnt know what else to say**

Never used to like Luka?! Luka? Never used to lieka Luke?
I was disappointed, frankly. There were Luka and Sam, on a road trip. Deserted place, out of the way, middle of nowhere, bloke in a car with a rifle. And did he say "You ain't from around here, are you boy?" No. And was there a sinister crooked sheriff? No. There wasn't even a banjo, or a comedy local drunk.

Shifty eyes? SHIFTY eyes????
No, thats the "tortured soul" look.
The kind a man has when he`s lost his family and blames himself for their deaths.
Doncha just LOVE a man who is haunted by his past???
oh, just me then!

Did we see the rifle guy's eyes? Oh well, if they were shifty that makes the episode better. A shifty-eyed guy with a rifle isn't quite as good as a scary backwoods guy who says "You ain't from around here, are you boy?", but it's a start.
Still can't believe that you didn't like Luka though. You and your Carby obsession...
Thought it was a good opening episode. Can't see how that Morris will stay Chief Res, mind you everyone knows he's incompetant so who knows. Good start to the series though.

He kind of had this very creepy look-out-of-the-corner-of-my-eye-all-the-time-especially-when-I-say-the-word-rifle thing going on...

Can anyone tell me - I noticed that Thursday's episode of ER is being repeated tonight at 8pm, but will Thursday's episodes always be repeated on a Sunday, as the episodes will also be on on the Monday night on Channel 4 - so does Channel 4 show it 3 times, twice of E4 and once on Channel 4, or is this just a one off?

That was a good episode, with some nice comic touches. Eve is a total b*tch, though! I was wishing it was her who got clobbered by Skooter Boy's dad, rather than poor Luka.
Nice to see Abby being a little more selfless in her relationship with Luka this season. The Poor Poor Me attitude seems to have gone.
I was kind of disturbed by this episode, more than anything. I don't know why.
The make-up department deserve a medal for the burns victim. It was done incredibly well, I thought.
Eve is weird. I don't like her.
Sam was slightly more, uh, human this week, which was pretty good.
Luka was excellent. He took charge, I felt, and was pretty dominant throughout. I liked the Luby in this episode; it didn't seem awkward or clumsy and it didn't seem as though all the crappy stuff inbetween was happening. It was nice and really cute at the end, what with Luka falling asleep so comfortably. (Kind of concerned about that cigarette, though!)
It was good to see Dubenko, but I really wish that the last scene with him was for different reasons.
And Neela...What?!

well we don't know what's actually going on-he not dead yet so there few more episodes with him in

2 things really-firstly she was uncomfortable about photos-you could really see uncomfort in her face , secondly she did have a grat line with that patient.
