I really liked that ending - how it travelled around the various characters and the suchlike and I couldn't help but feeling Christmassy. For once, this was a character episode that, on the whole, I thoroughly enjoyed!

Just once I'd like there to be an anti-abortion character who isn't written as a total nut.

Other than that, a good episode. About as subtle as a brick, mind! Luka was cool, and I actually felt sorry for Ray, so there's a first.

I think it's time for Dubenko to come back, though.

Interesting ep, though I only caught the last half hour (looks like I'll have to watch it on Ch4 on monday night). But what I saw was good. I knew Luka would go in and see the girl and convince her after he had had a go at Neela. Best bit was the music when Luka was talking to the girl - the 'Orion in the Sky' music, which i haven't heard in at least 2 series. Yeah, I felt sorry for Ray too, looks like he'll be staying at County after all. Wil lhave to watch it on Monday, though to fill in the gaps.

Finally watched this last night, a good episode, the flash backs were a little confusing until I twigged what they were.

i'm glad abbey kept the baby

Yeah, I was actually , well not surprised but i was glad she kept it but i thought she might get rid of it. And I knew Luka would give the girl what she wanted, a way of aborting the baby, after Neela had a go at him, I knew he'd do that. Good stuff though.

Hmm very fiesty. Is she Dubenko's replacement? I could see Neela as a surgeon, and I liked the way she stood up to Morris. But only time will tell.

I think she's only covering for him for a wee while.

that's a shame , we need strong charcter to replace Ramano i think she could be it.

Romano is directing this week's episode. I know he's done quite a few since leaving the cast, but I don't often notice before hand.

Yeah, he's directed a few, but like you I don't notice either. He directed one a few weeks back (only reason I noticed it was because Ch4 voiceover guy said it was he who directed it).

mickey got a new star

I never thought I would enjoy a programme about the preparations for a baby's birth, but that was wonderful. Luka and Abby were fabulous tonight. All of their scenes were perfect, but best of all was the shop.

Dubenko was great, too. He should grow his hair back though.

I second what you said there, Mickey. Perfection. I loved the ''don't tell me to sssh...'' and how they were hiding behind rails. Lovely.

Dubenko was also cool. It was nice to see him trying to run the ER. He's a good'un. I liked what he did for that man, too. He was honest about the money, which I sort of liked, but he was also very kind, respectively.

Otherwise, I didn't really pay a great deal of attention to the rest of the episode...

Yeah... I like Neela, and I used to like Michael, but their bit of story didn't interest me much. And Ray is Ray is Ray. Meh.

Luka, Abby and Dubenko were great, though.

Personally, I feel that if the Luka/Abby and Dubenko stuff hadn't been there, I would have been a lot more interested in the Neela and Micheal - because I, also, like them - but personal preference just seemed to out-favour them this week.

I loathe Ray. I loathe that Zoe girl, too. She's so whiney and annoying. She used to be in 'Raising Dad' which was alright to watch, as a pre-teen. With Bob Saget. He used to get some good one-liners.

Wow. Though Luka's accent should have been stronger in 2001.

That was a very good episode. And hey - Anspaugh! That was a nice touch. Can't help thinking that Abby was being a little bullying, though. Sometimes you have to know when to let go.

Another cool episode tonight. Well - mostly. Clemente is such a jerk. And no way is he going to get charged with attempted murder or anything. I doubt we'll get rid of him that easily.

The rest was cool, though. Next week is all Carter, by the look of things. Might well be interesting. Eammon Walker is in it.

Who?

Clemente is annoying. And there was way too much blood in this episode for him. Argh.

I loved the surgery scene: ''Lucien, please...''...''Jessica, please deal with this''. Talk about over-using christian names! Lucien did rock, however, as usual. I like to see him in surgery.

Luka rocked too. The amnio scene was perfect. Hell, all Luka scenes are nearly always perfect.

Carter episode next. I hope it is interesting.
