I keep trying to think of Channel 4 shows to whoop and holler about in this thread, but every one I come up with either was shown edited in the T4 slot, with morons talking through the end credits, or it got axed, and picked up by Sky instead. They're really not helping themselves.
The West Wing! That was brilliant. Except they shifted it to More4 back in the days when only half a dozen people had it. And we still had play "Hunt The Episode" in the schedules.
Press Gang. An ITV show, granted, but I'm sure it got a repeat on Channel 4. Hooray! That was brilliant. And that thing about the motorcycle couriers, starring Steve McGann. That was good too. Streetwise, that was it. Okay, so it was twenty years ago. But it was still a good Channel 4 show.
They've been wanting to do something with it for some time, so whether anything will happen this time remains to be seen. Should be interesting if they do go ahead with it, though.
i hated press gang... i think maybe i was too little for it.
the golden girls, cheers, roseanne, fraser... american comedies... mostly the golden girls though.

West Wing is one of the best shows to be shown on C4 for a long time. I could re-watch that till the cows come home.
Studio 60 was a bit of a disappointment, yes. It's a shame it got axed, though, as I think it got better as it went along. Towards the middle of the series I got a bit bored with it, but by the time it finished I was sorry to see it go.
There were things at the end that annoyed me though, but in part I think they rushed some things to finish it off... like the whole Jordan/Danny relationship.
But yes, had it been given a chance I'm sure it would have been fantastic. There are a lot of worse shows that have been allowed to keep going.
