Episode 3
I found this episode somewhat disjointed. I don't particularly dislike either Jez or Kylie but there was something about this episode and them being paired to go undercover that I just didn't care enough about.
So Jez's criminal history comes to the fore with his friend Dylan being a link to Zero. I like Jody Latham as an actor and I guess I should have seen him as Zero coming a mile off. He did have a certain menacing look in his eyes.
It was nice to see Kylie connecting with Lizzie. I suppose the hedonistic way she behaves is her way of coping with the radiation sickness. She's certainly a ballsy enough character. I'm surprised Zero didn't kill her at one point.
Rob does seem to have a hatred for Charlie. A part of it comes across as childish when he criticises Charlie for trying to be cautious about the undercover operation but when Charlie/Rachel are whispering I can see why Rob might be irritated by this.
This episode changed my mind of Sarah Yates. Perhaps she's not Satan after all or maybe the writers are going to bounce back and forth to keep us on our toes. Vik is actually a sweet enough guy and I hope we get more on him.
Given that Charlie's a maths whiz, Rachel's a former cop, Rob's a doctor, Kylie's a psych student and Jez was a petty criminal what does entrepeuner Vik add to the team? Don't underutilise him writers.
Even though the Charlie/Rachel scenes always feel blatantly telegraphed, I do like their dynamic. She was the only one who took to him quickly so I can see why Charlie is willing to trust her more than the others. I can't wait to see what other secrets Hannah might have had and who the Ghostman is. 6/10.
