Ah the doctor who film... started well, but that whole eye of harmony stuff I just didn't buy into. I thought Rowan Atkinson was good for comic relief... I could of had Marcus looking for celery or a scarf... or maybe a sonic screwdriver...
I'm not so sure about the heart and the spoon.. the fact the police are involved and he'll probably get kicked out of his house and wind up friendless is really enough justice for me. I'll take the Delenn "I feel pity for you," stance other than G'kars eventual forgiveness and enlightenment part.
Couldn't put Marcus in a cupboard... he'd get scared of the spiders...
"Thats a bloody awful lot of ships."

I would have held him down while you battered him to a pulp.
Sounds serious if the police are involved.
Marcus hating spiders. Him and me both. Makes you wonder what his Mora'dum (sp?) was.

I really can't believe that a big boy like Marcus is scared of spiders. Unless they have weird huge poisonous space ones on Arisia. I like to think it was just a Shadows allusion. Mind you, if you're a little toy Marcus in a cupboard, the spiders would be awfully big in relation. Especially those nice big house spiders. It'd be like the scene in The Incredible Shrinking Man. Giant spiders... Shelobs lair. Urgh... yuk yuk yuk!! (I don't have a spider phobia 99.9% of the time- Just when I watch ROTK)
Mora'dum... I smell a fanfic!
About the felon. See, this is what happens when your really twisted and are completely messed up with grief. He refused to see a councellor while he was going out with my best-friend and made her REALLY miserable- and now this. I think he needs help. So perhaps we'll have to take the enlightened stance and walk away.
(Note: If I ever become the victim of grief like that where years later i'm still in the same place... I'd rather be fodder for an alien healing device than twisted like that.)

Shelob - I'm a behind the sofa person for that scene.
Not sure if I could write a Mora'dum fic for Marcus. It must have freaked him out as he really DID NOT want to discuss it.
Grief is a funny thing and affects us all differently. It never quite goes away and can pop up at the most insignificant moments. But you mustn't let it stop you moving forwards with your life.

he's been stuck in grief land for four years... and he certainly doesn't need to manipulate other people and drag them down with him. He doesn't know how to escape his own pain so he creates it for others so he's not alone in it. Very Sad.
Anyway...
Hmm, how bad could it have been? ... and why is it not in "City of sorrows..." ? I have a gripe now! Thats a good question for JMS.... wheres the terror in "City of sorrows"?
What could it involve?...
Spiders, shadows, crashing spaceships, haircuts, screwing up majorly, rebirth ceremonies...

I like that. The Rangers' idea of terror is spiders. That's what they do to them during training. Technology is very advanced on Minbar. It's probably some room like the one where Delenn had her dream walk. Instead of dreams from their pasts, though, they see terrors; their own personal fears (like the Boggarts in Harry Potter!) and have to learn to face them. Maybe?? Failing that they might be given bad LSD. "Someone's got to fight the good fight."46664 - Play Music - Fight AIDS

There is nothing more terrifying than what lives in our own minds.
Maybe the Mora'dum does involve the Dreaming. They drink something before entering; perhaps a halluciangenic (sp?) designed for the particular purpouse.
I said a really Minbari thing the other day. We had an enrolement at Brownies and during the ceremony we light candles. One Brownie commented that one of the candles only had a little flame. My immeadiate response was;
'Even the smallest flame can be seen in the darkness.'
I surprised even myself. Needs to go into a fic somewhere. Not sure I can use it. Got a space Crazy?

Candles. The profound do love them so! "The tiniest candle destroys the greatest darkness", etc and so forth. I have a nasty suspicion I have an entire poem about candle flames over at fictionpress.com, which is a disturbing thing to admit to. And yes, you're right - one's own mind would be perhaps more terrifying than anything else. We are, after all, rather more clear on what terrifies us than other people are. Nobody's posted for nearly a day, so I thought I'd better write something. The Who Shop are putting my scarf into their costumes for hire stock. Watch out for the next series of Dead Ringers Ranger Elenopa, You can get more with a kind word and a two by four, than you can with just a kind word.

Funny how you can know who somebody is impersonating without needing to watch the show, isn't it! Les Dennis and Dustin Gee were forever doing Coronation Street, which I've never watched, but I always knew who they were being. I guess some people are easier to do than others. Why do impressionists always try to dress up like their targets these days though? It used to be just a bloke with a microphone, and maybe the occasional false moustache. Ranger returns... tired, hungover and smokey but unbeaten.
Best friends brithday yesterday, another friends today... so am VERY knackered.
Elenopa- I have an ideal place for that line... actually two ideal places... Y'know I could use it twice... B5 is always having recurring dialogue. It's definatly a Delenn line... and it's perfect. The scene had Drama, tension but nothing profound. If you don't mind i'd like to use it (You can be credited as "additional material by..." if you like). Look for it in "Learning Curve."... if I ever get there!
Dead Ringers... Oh Tom Baker!! Funny Funny Funny! Perfect.

Birthday parties.....very dangerous.....you go first. Use the line where you like Crazy. I said it without thinking last Monday and it seems a shame not to use it. I don't think I have a suitable place for it at the moment. Ranger Elenopa, You can get more with a kind word and a two by four, than you can with just a kind word.

You should post a new thread here, Crazy. "Potentially Profound Sentences. For Use By Semi-Cryptic Minbari". Then people can give you a constant supply. "Someone's got to fight the good fight."46664 - Play Music - Fight AIDS

I don't know about a constant supply Mickey. You can't think these things up, they just come out of your mouth unbidden.

hmm, good thread name- maybe i'll use it...
Had an idea for a Mora'dum fic... it also involves not going to a rebirth ceremony and Marcus and Sinclair knocking back a bottle of whiskey... maybe sinclair could throw up over Cathrine...yes, strange, but it needed comedy somewhere!
Party fun... aftermath not!
must sleep... again. Damn human need for sleep getting in the way of my life!!

Ranger just took an IQ test... oh dear! Supposedly i'm at the low end of average... Thanks very much... i'll just go hang the diploma in the latrine and open up a hot-dog stand! Ranger can't do maths and can't spell. And she has co-ordination problems. Verbally she's fine! Y'know George Lucas isn't that clever... But I wanna Be Joe Straczynski... So much for Mensa! (Or maybe I killed my brain with booze and late nights...) So IQ testing says i'm stupid.... my lecturers say otherwise... who do I believe? "Thats a bloody awful lot of ships."

Don't trust IQ tests. According to them I'm a genius, or near so. I'm not convinced! Some people test better than others, is all. quote: maybe sinclair could throw up over Cathrine

It's alright for JMS.. he's a genius and has two degrees... but now im under the belief im coming down with something... woo-hoo... can't these common viruses/infections be defeated yet!
I was never very good with patterning... one reason why I can't spell or do maths. I just have very original ideas... I'm sporadic and artistic... one minute i'll be writing, the next i'll be painting or even playing the damn violin (I swear one day i'll wake up and the 2 1/2 grand fiddle will have angst poetry written over it in purple watercolours!)....
Maths... whos ever gonna need that in the real world?
I have the strangest urge to go and watch "Thunderbirds," (The TV show)... I must be unwell... im regressing.
(Ha- like anyone with a low IQ could use the word regressing... or could take you through the finer points of feminist film theory...)
