I've bought the Derren Brown Trick of the Mind Series 1 DVD which says it has a commentary on it. But when I turn the commentary on, I get exactly the same audio track on each episode as when it's turned off.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Can't remember, haven't watched Series 1 for a while but will find out for you. Watch this space.....

I had the same problem - I can't access the commentaries on any of the Derren Brown dvds via my dvd player (which admittedly is getting on a bit!) or my shiny new dvd/hard disk recorder. However, I can hear them on my pc.

Sorry not to have been more help, though I thought you'd like the reassurance that it's not just you.

Of course, it might just be that DB has subliminally manipulated us into thinking that we can't hear the commentary...!!

Hi! I have Derren Brown Trick of the Mind series 2, and I can hear the commentary fine. I don't know if the two DVDs have the same layout, but I go to EXTRAS > COMMENTARY ON EP. 1, or COMMENTARY ON EP. 2. There is commentary on two episodes. How do you guys do it?

I have to say though, even though I'm a huge DB fan, the commentary is awful. They hardly ever talk about relevent things, and a lot of the time they just make stupid in-jokes. I was expecting a pleasant commentary on things like how they did the tricks, and pointing out things that you wouldn't usually notice. Instead I got a messy disorganised atrocity (sp?), through which I have lost a lot of respect for Derren Brown.

Frankly guys, I don't think you're missing much! And you do know why they only did commentary on two eps? Because apparently, on series 1 it was too sloppy and disorganised that they knew the commentary wouldn't hold for another six eps! So they only did 2!
