You must watch Box Of Delights! Eek

It's traditional to watch one episode a week on the lead up to Christmas, with the last episode on Christmas Eve. If you hurry you can catch up. It's available on DVD, and it's a total must watch. It was episode three on Saturday, with the Christmas party, and the burglars, and sailing the toy yacht. Smile

Oh, yeah. Sorry. Razz

I turn my back for two seconds and this becaomes a Blake's (even fireball XL5 had better special effects then it)7 thread

@Bugblatter

I thought alliances with vamps even "sultry" ones with "long dark hair" was out of the question Surly Vaughan Rice would blow her away, before she even thought of seducing Colefield, which she would be contractually obliged
to do.

Who cares about SFX? Razz The story and the acting is what counts, and B7 blows most sci-fi shows out of the water in those departments. I'll take B7, with its school play sets, and dangerously wobbly bits of spaceship, over most things with expensive modern FX.

Tell that to the Babylon 5 lot, never seen such wooden acting in one show from so many leading characters, I mean the first captain, the Dr guy, the new captain/president guy. The CGI put in more emotion then those guys.

I love Babylon 5. Terrific story, great acting. Razz Each to their own!

Michael O'Hare, who played the first captain, wasn't happy with the role. It did show. When he and the material gelled right, he was good, but he wasn't made for sci-fi. The doctor was excellent, the rest of the cast was excellent. Except for a certain psi-cop in season one, but the least said about her, the better.

just in general 2 take the filming out of the backlot like in sg and any trek. its like every b5 ep is a bottle ep.
how didn they get away with such deep dark sf like b7 on primetime beeb in '70s?

At seven o'clock in the evening! I know, it's incredible. Rebels fighting the government, no clear line between good and bad, a manic leader. And then later on, Avon going steadily more bonkers. Some fabulously dark stuff. Beats What Not To Wear into a cocked hat...

Quality episode, Idris Elber(Vaughn) thought the character lacked emotion and I think was pleased to show more emotion ( controlled army type emotion thou!)
