others I know are extremley fed up with the situation but agree they don't want to be a hostage to satallite tv, I wasn't bothered about BG but would so love to see heroes (which I think BBc2 is showing in the autumn)
I am patient , due to having an old Sky box but not subscribing and finally get to see Bones yeah!

hiya, yeh im in the same situation. only 4 channels 2 choose from and no lost! aparently t4 had 2 choose between buying the desperate housewives series and lost because they didn't have enough for both. but lost was the more expensive of the two, sky was willing to pay and t4 wasn't. i will miss lost

I thought C4, or at least E4 still show Friends?
I didn`t realise that C4 originally had the right to 24. I missed the first series, so then thought there wasn`t much point in watching the following seasons. But I started watching this current season, and realised that missing the previous seasons wasn`t that much of a handicap.

BBC2 eh?
Didn`t rate it enough to put it on BBC1?

I thought it was not so much a case of Sky nicking 24 but that the beeb got into a dispute with the makers or distributers or summink. Bloody pain the neck whatever the case.
Hummm well seing as I buy the dvd's when they're available, I dont really care :P
There are high quality streaming sites, there are also perfectly legal streaming sites which you can subscribe too.
On I-tunes you download the episodes the day after they are put on TV in the states.
Personally, I watch streamed episodes on my Wii on a proper television, works fine and its perfectly watchable whilst I wait for the DVD's. Plus, there are TV shows which will never get released over here on tv or DVD.
As far as I know you can't buy those vids unless you're in the US.
Don't get me wrong, I get lost in HiDef even though I recently lost SkyOne, but asking why people don't just watch it on Sky is a bit like Marie-Antoinette saying "Let them eat cake".
