just found out today that charlotte long who played the beautiful eloise de ricordeau in the first series in 1984 died in a motorway car crash shortly after filming ...so a replacement was brought in for the second series...a long time ago but how very sad

recently found out that there were reports several years ago of the actors death who played jean paul *beanpole* luckily totally wrong and he is very much alive but not acting nowadays

The current SFX has a brief piece about the current whereabouts of the three main actors. John Shackley now works for a hotel chain in Austria, and Ceri Seel teaches in South London. Apparently he was rather bemused to read of his own death on the internet. Not the first, Ceri. Probably not the last. Jim Baker became a London bus driver, and now teaches new drivers. Apparently he's still very enthusiastic about the show.

they should bring out a christmas special as its 21 years on from the tv series

Won't happen, I'm afraid. The original show was a flop.

The programme, The Cult of... The Tripods had "Henry" quite happy to be interviewed. None of the others were on the show.

It was an enjoyable reminisce.

wow cheers for that Mickey ... just wish they would make the third series or indeed a the trilogy film....now that would be ab fab!

Still have not heard any more news about a film, which is just such a great shame. Its now been over 22 years since it was on the telly.

Anyone got any more goss about The Tripods before this place becomes extinct forever?

Isn't there a film remake on the cards then i honestly don't know its etched at the back on my mind....
