******************************** John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.
Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.
The Impossible Planet is the first of another two-parter that sees Rose and the Doc stranded on a ship orbiting an all-consuming black hole after the TARDIS takes a tumble onto the planet below. Keep an eye out for the suspiciously subserviant Ood, a herd race that apparently dies if they aren't being told what to do, and a cameo from Will Thorp, who gets covered in strange symbols by the mysterious - and "awake" - bad guy (horrifying, no?) A potentially good story here, but unfortunately let down by poor direction.

Ok....
as it`s not been aired yet, WHO can review the ep and tell that "it`s let down by poor direction"?

i got this from digispy tube talk which a guy who know everything there is to know about tv in uk. plus he get paid for it-lucky sod
You mean he gets to watch programmes before they air?
Yeah, well, I suppose he`s the kind of person that enables newspapers, like the tabloids, to splash centre page spreads giving away pix and spoilers about finales before the ep airs (thinking, bitterly, about how the sun spoilt the finale of Blakes 7 on the morning the last ever ep aired on the bbc. )
