Anyone watching this new show?

I`ve sky+ it, and finally got around to watching the 1st 2 eps.

I'm watching it Angelus, it reminds me of something, not sure what though....

Watched the first 2 eps as I've missed my vamp fix since Buffy and Angel finished.

Not sure about it yet. Dialogue and cinematography is a bit clunky but I'll persevere with it for a while.

I think it's got quite a retro feel to it, I kind of like that.

Hope it develops into something really great - but I'd be willing to settle for reasonably good....

I`m still not sure about it.

I suppose that 8 years of Joss Whedon`s take on the vampire myth is probably the reason I have a little trouble accepting a different take.

Blood Ties is a more traditional view of the Vampire, ie appears dead during the day. It also appears that becoming a vampire doesn`t automatically mean you become evil.

The show hasn`t made it very clear whether Henry feeds on humans, or if the other vampires kill humans when they feed. I know we saw him feed from whatsherface, but that was because he was badly hurt at the time.

Henry was having a little taste of a girl in a night club in last night's episode but I agree the vampire mythology is not clear in this series.

Haven't read the books on which the series is based - perhaps they go into more detail.

I'm still watching, but I have to say it's not developing as I'd hoped...

I thought this weeks episode, the one about the dark elf, was good and quite creepy - but its all still a bit hit and miss.

Unfortunatly, I`ve had to stop watching it.

I`m having trouble recording any progs on the LIVING channel.

Twice, I recorded EVERY showing of Blood Ties during a particular week, and every time it failed, or recorded but the playback squeaked, jumped and was impossible to watch.

So I`m either going to have to wait until it shows up on another channel, or buy the DVD box sets.

Does anyone else have trouble with the quality of the Living Channel? It seems OK when I wacth the shows live, but the sky+ play back is never reliable. It can`t be the digibox itself, as I never have any trouble with any other channel.
