I can`t see any way back from that cliffhanger, and yet it goes against what DT is saying. Yet in the Turn Left Confidential, Billie Piper admitted that she lied to the press and fans about her return. So can we really trust DT when he says he`s staying on for the speacials?

However, I think that next week should be an amazing episode. And I'm also happy with the way they brought rose back as well. And I have come to love Donna. Which is shocking.

I`ve loved Donna from the start.

Im sure that Donna`s eventual replacement will go back to being a young dolly again.

But to have an older companion was a nice change, and I hope we get another one in the future.

Yep i remember reading about the Chrimbo specials, but a job like his he needs a break, i don't think he'll being a Tom Baker but its a good haul x

The suspense will have to continue to kill you.

There is NO answer "out there".

The production team ans actors have kept VERY quite about the finale.

From what I`ve heard, any preview copies they sent out of The Stolen Earth, went without the final 30 seconds. And they haven`t even sent out ANY preview copies of The finale at all.

Although the suspence is also killing me, I`m so very glad that I`m not going to get spoilers presented to me should I open any tabloid on saturday morning.

I`m working saturday night, so I have to wait until sunday morning before I get to see it. I`m just hoping that the radio doesn`t make any comments overnight. AS the radio is piped in, I have no control over the volume or whther it`s even on or off.

Can I ask a daft question that I have given no thought to, but thought I'd ask, You know that Donna is like a 'sister to the Doc, and the rumours she has two hearts, and the time lady stuff, is she related to Susan? Donna herself is a grandaughter etc..

Hee. That one's going to cause ructions. I think he just got us out of Eight's little dilemma, but boo hiss for ending things the exact same way they did for Charley in "The Girl Who Never Was". Except she remembered anyway, and lived, 'cause she's Charley and she rocks, and was that a dig at Donna? What, from me?! Never.

I`ve just finished watching the ep after working last night.

My goodness the lengths I`ve had to go through to remain unspoiled.

I forbade ANYONE from texting me. I refused to read any newspapers. And as it turned out I was lucky enough that someone switched the works radio onto Radio 1 last night, as the local radio we usually have to listen to had a big segment about the ep broadcast at 4am this morning. phew!!!!

Anyway.

I thought it was avery strange episode.

Brilliant in some parts, cringworthy in others. But overall, the good and the brilliant overshadowed the cringeworthy.

The Brilliant parts:
Davros attacking the Doctor about turning his companions into weapons.
The Doctor`s anguish whilst on the recieving end of Davros`s verbal attack.
Jack`s commenst about having dirty thoughts about 2 Doctors and a DoctorDonna.
Catherine Tate`s AMAZING mimicry of the manic Doctor.
um..... Doctor 2`s birth, with no clothes on. (oh shallow me )
The itty bitty very pwerful TARDIS towing the planet.


The Good parts:
The whole main cast around the TARDIS console. the way that DT managed to make both Doctors look slightly different from each other, and that was NOT solely down to them wearing different coloured suits.

The cringeworthy:
The Doctor`s superfast, and casual delivery of how he manged to regenerate into himself.
And a similarly manic moment with Doctor 2 on the Tardis with Donna, as he explained his being.
K9! I hate that mutt.

And, I LIKED Davros!! I actually felt sorry for him.

And wasn`t Dalek Caan a cutie!?!

Anyway.... I`m sure I`ll have more parts to add once I watch it again (and again).

And I am looking forward to seeing Martha and Mickey in the Hub at Cardiff... at least I ASSUME that was what will happen given that they both went off with Capt Jack.


Now I`m off to get some sleep.

Seriously after the high standard of the previous episode I was worried this wouldn't live up to the hype but IMO it seriously did. Teary, heartbreaking, funny and just plain awesome.

So Davros wants to disintegrate the universe and he's as much as a prisoner of the Daleks than he is a leader. Even after 33 years Davros still can't them to be loyal. Perhaps he should look into that.

Shaming The Doctor was a fine moment for him but at least The Doctor's warriors are trying to save rather than slay mankind. Davros did raise some valid point though.

Nice to see Mickey and Jackie after so long and their team up with Sarah Jane and Jack was a nice move. I felt that Gwen, Luke, Ianto and Mr Smith were generally excluded from the first half but that didn't matter too much.

Davros had the creepy moment when he suggested he could do anything he wanted with Rose. Plus Sarah Jane and him remembered each other quite well. I squeed during that moment.

So the Osterhagan is a really dangerous thing after all. No wonder Harriet was so against it and now wonder Martha didn't want to reveal it's real purpose. I got a kick out of the Daleks speaking German but I knew Davros/Supreme Dalek would find a way to best her.

So the regeneration - aren't I glad it's of the botched variety. Two Doctors for the price of one and a Time Lord Donna is quite the way to defeat the Daleks and Davros. The speech patterns between New Doctor and Donna raised a smile too.

So endings, Sarah Jane told The Doctor he had a family before departing to go back to Luke. Nice that we got to see K9 as well, albeit briefly.

Jack can't go back in time but not only does he have Gwen and Ianto but he's bagged Martha and Mickey. So glad we had to wait months for that piece of information to be confirmed.

I got a kick of all the team operating the TARDIS. Jackie got a little revenge by teasing The Doctor of what she called her son. Tony's a nice and there's a lot of them on TV nowadays.

So Rose winds up with New Doctor as her companion. I suppose it's a good way to end her arc but I can see why some viewers mightn't be crazy about it.

Donna having her memories wiped was an evil thing for RTD to do. I broke down crying during that scene. I didn't want Donna to be deprived of her life with The Doctor and I'm gonna miss her as a companion. Here's to her successor.

The last few scenes with The Doctor and Wilf were bittersweet. I liked the more quiet ending we got instead of how the last two finales ended. Looking forward to the Christmas special and I'm glad David Tennant's still on board, 10/10.

I too cried during the last scenes with Donna having her memory wiped, and so bittersweet with Wilf I thought Bernard Cribbinas was excellent in those scenes, and tbh it may be a final story that I couldn't watch again.

I have to say I really liked Donna as a companion (I am the same age ) and related to her in a way, tho #I am not shouty tho

That last episode was so great - bringing in all those old friends from the other programmes was brilliant, and having a timelord regeneration but still keeping the lovely David T. I enjoyed every moment, except at the end when Donna was having that inane shouty conversation on the phone and we all knew she could be so much more and she'll never know: a real lump-in-throat moment.
I don't know about the boy Luke - wsa there some connection with the doctor I've missed?
