convention??? Dr Who? got a web addy? Now that Starfury are scaling back their Buffy and Angel conventions, I might just investigate Dr Who ones - last Who convention I went to was 10 years ago. Was a bit of a culture shock.

Oh and BTW absolutely LOVED the finale. Got to watch it sunday when I got in from night shift. Watched it agian straight after. Watched it twice more since then. Plus replayed the final scenes from just before Capn Jack getting killed till the end a fair few times. Wonder what Rose thinks when she realises that the new Doctor is not "her" Doctor in a different form, and that her actions caused "her" Doctor to die. I reckon they`ll go back for Capn Jack once the Doctor is made aware by Rose that she revived him. We only saw Jack, but Rose could have revived everyone on the Gamestation. Now, onto something that is puzzling me... Ive never watched Casanova, the name "David Tennant" is a name I`ve only heard of in relation to him being the new Doctor (and that he is/was in casanova), but when he morphed into the new Doctor I am convinced I`ve seen him before. where?????? or am I confusing him with someone else?

Hi angelus, DT has been in a fair few things, one being Blackpool, that's probably where you best know him from.
Excellent doctor who finale, have watched copious ammounts since and actually have it on right now, ooh look he's just changed into DT. Fabby!

As for Jack and his useless guns - poor guy. Daleks were just legends to him. He did the best he could. Blame the guards on the station for having such crap weapons!
What happened to the laser gun jack had that killed the first dalek?

Jack left it in the TARDIS. Like he said, it was a one shot wonder. He blew all its power on that first Dalek. I don't think Rose revived anybody else, Angelus. It might not even have been Rose who did the reviving anyway. Did you notice how she lost her South London accent when she was glowing? Theory has it that was the TARDIS talking, and the TARDIS doing things. Not Rose at all. In which case the TARDIS would have revived Jack because of the telepathic link, and Rose wouldn't remember anything about it. Still, who knows?! Jack will be back, that's what matters!

Have had some serious doubts about the new Dr Who. After seeing Chris Eccleston chewing up the ham in 28 Days Later i didnt think he would be right but im willing to admit that by the end of the series he had me won over and i am genuinely sad to see the bloke go, his Dr was an absolute riot. Hope that we see no more Slitheens though, they are not so good. Tennants "new teeth" line was a belter and if he`s half as good as Eccleston was the TARDIS should be in good hands.

Yeah, she sounded so much better like that! From Confidential, her normal voice sounds much more like the Tardis-y voice. quote: convention??? Dr Who?

Nope, it's the London Film and Comics Con (I think that's what it's called...) Charisma Carpenter's the guest of honour.

This is true. He did look a tad upset when the Tardis left without him.

I`ve just imdb`d both Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant. Never seen anything that David Tennant has been in. So have no idea where I could be remembering him from. Of CE`s films, I`ve heard of Gone in 60 Seconds, and 28Days Later. Both of which I`ve just borrowed off my daughter to watch this evening.

This was the second time that a Who convention was mentioned. some one mentioned "Dimensions 2005" as a Dr Who convention. Sometime in Nov (I think). Can`t remember which of this forums` threads it was in.

I watched 28 Days Later. First reaction. BLONDE?????? He`s blonde! that took a bit of getting used to. His character was supposed to be the big Bad of the film. But I don`t think he was, not really. Just a man trying to stay alive. I thought his death was a bit harsh. He looked very Dashing in uniform - mind you I have a thing about a man in a uniform - I married one!!

Nope still married to him 28 years later. urg. Do I have to glue myself to BBC1 to watch the xmas trailer? Mind you I have spent a lovely few hours exploring the BBC site. Rearranging my wallpaper, and watching the downloads (legal! who`d a thought it! )

They've actually started doing a christmas countdown for Doctor Who on bbc 1 excellent! LOL Angelus, CE also plays the main part in a film called Jude that was made a few years ago. It also stars Kate Winslet and if you look real closely you'll see David Tennant in a small role.

I noticed that. Wasn`t RTD the writer or director as well or something? Oh, and I forgot to mention that CE was also the (dead) husband in the film "The Others" with Nicole Kidman. I`ve seen a bit of that on the tele, but neither of my daughter possess a copy for me to watch. Which I though was very remiss of them, to be honest!

The BBC Doctor Who internet stuff has been genius. "Who Is Doctor Who?" (the conspiracy site set up by Clive in episode one, and subsequently taken over by Mickey), the whole UNIT thing, and the Bad Wolf pages have been loads of fun, with in jokes and extras galore. Their web team deserve barrels of awards.

Just done a bit of shopping, and came away with the double DVD of the two 60s Dalek films. And "The Others"- only cos it was cheap!

Weird. The last paragraph of my previous post has gone missing. There was a link there to a website, but it looked harmless enough to me. ?? Ah well, such is life on forums. The sixties Dalek movies are okay, but I don't like the second one much - the one with Bernard Cribbins in it. The Roy Castle one is cool, though.
