Thanks bug!! 26days, 19 and half hours to go. Not that I`m counting or anything, but Mickey seems to have stopped the clock.
******************************** John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.
Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.

You're welcome So Mickey must have that "Key of Time" doohickey then...

Well, the official site has kindly provided us with a countdown, so I don't need to keep score anymore. It's not quite right though, as it's counting down to midnight, rather than 19:00 on The Day. Close enough, though.

Mickey, I`ve got another question for you about the the audio tapes. The Fires of Vulcan The Shadow of the Scourge The Mutant Phase I was given these tapes, free gratis (well I could choose 3 out of the 7 on offer). Are they any good? I was a bit worried as I didn`t know WHY they were being given away. I chose the three I did because the first two were Sylvester McCoys Doctor, and the third is a Dalek story.
******************************** John Smith: So what am I then? Nothing. I`m just a story.
Doctor: You`re an echo. That`s all. A TimeLord is so much more. A sum of knowledge; a code. A shared history. A shared suffering. Only it`s gone now, all of it. Gone forever.

I've only got The Mutant Phase out of those three. I remember it as being enjoyable enough. The Doctor/Nyssa ones generally were. The only problem with it is that it's one of the earlier ones (anything numbered less than twenty). They were still finding their feet, and some of the writing and acting wasn't as good as the later ones. They weren't quite as polished. No complaints, though. The McCoy ones I can't help you on, though Shadow Of The Scourge rings a bell. Again, I think they're earlier ones. Give them a listen, but if they sound a bit cheap, don't count that against the series as a whole!

Thanks. I`ll bear that in mind. Mutant Phase is #15 Fires of Vulcam is #12 Shadow of the Scourge is #13 So they`re all early ones.

r they redemming the colin baker years with some good big finish eps?

I saw some Colin Baker ones there. But I prefer Sylvester`s Doctor, and the Dalek one I chose wasn`t a Colin Baker story.

Colin Baker has done many Big Finish plays, Antony. To great acclaim, too.

It`s not like the beeb so be so reticent with story info!! Usually they can`t wait to spoil it for us! Maybe the Beeb execs are hiding from a combined force of Daleks and Slitheen out for blood after all the spoilers they showed in the credits of last season? One can but hope that THIS season they don`t show spoilers during the end credits.

Sadly, "Next Time" trailers look to be here to stay. They believe it's the only way they can be sure of getting us to watch each week. We're morons, you see. Each and every one of us. And, of course, not a one of us is capable of looking in a TV guide to know that the show is back next week. As for other kinds of spoilerage though, to their credit the Beeb has tried to avoid them all along. It's the bloody tabloids that can't wait to spoil us. Even when you don't read the blasted things, you're still having to hide from spoilers, thanks to people online parroting what they've read, and Ceefax and Teletext joining in. Silly silly silly people.

Shame the mother is credited as appearing and I bet there's some cheesey Christmas 'rejoice' scene as she's in it. Init. But then, more Dr Who, woo. Tick. Tock. Considering the success of the new series; you'd have to expect some decent actors to guest in the new season. I'd like the evil bird off of Blakes Seven to pop up
You have a way of control, with an unsaid warning.

Jacqueline Pearce. Yeah, she'd be cool. So long as they don't let her near the audio commentaries later. Lots of good actors are signed up so far. Really looking forward to the school two-parter with Tony Head.

LOL!! Not a good idea to let Jackie anywhere near the commentaries. She`d be telling everyone how she would have wanted her charactor to have f`ked the Doctor, or Rose, or anyone else within the immediate vicinity!! Straight talker is our Jackie. Time hasn`t been kind to her over the last 25 years. Unfortunatly. quote: Lots of good actors are signed up so far. Really looking forward to the school two-parter with Tony Head.
That deffo lookes like a great ep.

The christmas issue of the Radio Times has a very interesting competition. The winner can get a FULL SIZE Dalek. That`s right, a FULL SIZE Dalek. Big enough for an adult to get inside. Worth 10 grand. I didn`t realise it had 10 pages worth of Who stuff. Gonna buy a copy tomorrow! ( or maybe two...)I quite fancy entering the draw for the Dalek. (and 2 chances are better than 1). Trundling around the estate inside the Dalek is bound to scare the kids!! A full size moving Dalek scared the living daylights out of my kids in the early 90s.

check dr who monthly or bbc website for cast list of season 2.

Yes, this month's Who Magazine is fabulous, and should be read anyway, regardless of cast lists. The article on insane seventies annuals is hilarious, and Tom is very naughty this month with an article about A Year In Who, gently mocking mad fans from Outpost Gallifrey.

Just saw a trailor for the Christmas episode - it looks great!
"Never let your work become your life, Kerry. Live a little."
"Come on Bert, it's now or never" - Classic.

Haven't seen the new trailer yet, but there was a fabulous clip on BBC Breakfast this morning, as a promo for Tenny and RTD being on the show some time next week.

What did people think of Secret Smile? It's weird, I kept thinking David Tennant had been dubbed, 'cause his normal voice just doesn't suit him as much as the Casanova one.

Secret Smile isn't my kind of thing, so I didn't watch. He used his Scottish accent in Blackpool recently, though, and it does sound weird. Don't think it ever used to be quite that all over the place in the old days, but I guess living in the south for the last ten years is bound to have had an effect. JB's pantomime is doing well now, incidentally. Press night is tomorrow, so there should be reviews appearing in the newspapers from Thursday.
