I was thinking about this show just the other day, and low and behold the new series is starting on Thursday 12th July.

Green Javelins
Sci-fi comedy set in 2151 that follows spaceship HMS Camden Lock as it goes about protecting British interests in a changing galaxy. Henderson is invited to join Britains premier space-o-batics team (a Red Arrows for space) led by Squadron Leader Mason, who twenty years ago had a fling with Teal. Mason is jealous of Teal's feelings for Henderson and decides to take drastic action. Meanwhile, York reveals the results of his terrifying scientific experiment and Vine has enlisted Jeffers into injuring him in a 'workplace accident' so he can be sent back to Earth.
Oh dear, so mush potential or did i have a sense of humour bypass? will have another look at this second series tho.

the problem im having is remembering the laugh out loud moments that the first series had, it never did get a repeat after the orginal air date did it? would be nice to see the first series in lead up to the second, to refresh my dwindling memory
