Lucky we have a lot of recent immigrants of much hardier stock! Wink

The DNA records are interesting, as they show that we "English" have descended more from Celts than from Anglo-Saxons.

They didn't give us HIV, we are just less likely to have a gene varient that offers some protection from HIV... purely theroretical nonsense as it is more likely to do with the black death than the Romans

Of course HIV didn't exist then but it weakened our resistance. Other races have been damaged in similar ways, take the American Indians for instance.

It may have weakened our resistance to a disease that didn't exist, Indians were given smallpox that they had no imunity from, I don't see the paralel?
