They wiped all threads started on 22.07.08 and i think some on the 21.07.08 they are asking for help give them the titles of missing threads.
I suppose you could repost the topic, but knowing the way they moderate you will probably face a suspension for reposting deleted topics, it all depends on the personality of the moderator and how they handle things, and it all depend on certain posters that may not like your views on other subjetcs so push the triangle at any given opportunity. I gave them some titles on the thread I started titled 'Mods Why so many missing threads?? will you be reinstating them????'
I posted/informed them on that thread that it appears to be all the threads started on 22.07.08, gave them some titles, all they have done is delete that thread!!
The most common sense route to take, as other posters had posted messages on that thread, would have been for the Moderator to leave a message on that thread regards the missing threads asking for them to be reinstated, informing others to give titles of other missing threads on my thread, intead they are asking you to email them individually.
how convenient that the 'Portugal case' the McCann thread got deleted, that the thread debating the police officer who killed a woman and injured her children, while speeding on his illegal enhanced motorbike ignoring road calming measures only getting a ban and fine having been found only guilty of careless driving and not danagerous driving, all those threads got deleted.

It's the big question - that fact that humans have the presumption to follow 'imaginary universal creators' whilst, barring minor exceptions, never having left their own planet is quite ironic. All of FOUR have been proposed so far... the best match is...
How much of an analogue an intelligent life supporting star has to be we don't know... but that gives an idea of how quickly all those noughts might vanish when you start looking at conditions suitable for the evolution of intelligent life.

Doesn't this only work if you assume that only starts like OUR sun is able to support life? It may well be true that only our style of sun can support life like us but I think people are thinking outside the envelope and assuming life (in all it's amazing forms - even here on earth in the direst deserts and depths of the oceans) is capable of being more than adjusted to live in this particular paradigm we live in.
How can you know, with such huge numbers, that other life can't exist?

Do you understand the scale of that number KB? That literally means that if life only occurs in one system out of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 - you'd still have 70,000 civilisations of varying ages/technology.

Humans only, barely, understand those conditions on the speck of dust they inhabit - and even then a good chunk of the species can fail those subsequent designations, evolved and intelligent, on a regular basis Not to mention that species have been found on this planet under quite unfavourable conditions and lacking what we consider to be pre-requisites. As I said life shows that a desire to evolve will occur wherever and whenever possible.

Ok Mr Cantor - calm down Sorry KB I genuinely didn't mean my query to sound at all condescending toward your maths - however applying something akin to infinite possibility to prove the existence of just one planetary species other than our own is misleading.
It has already occurred on this planet, in millions of different forms and in almost every available foothold it could gain. I'd imagine that this rule also holds true in some other location and not even necessarily to the exact same rules as hairy, oxygen breathing, carbon based bipeds. That's not to say, as with this world, that anything other than a tiny minority of species will ever gain even the bottom rung of what we consider to be 'the evolutionary ladder'
Say 1 in a million of those stars are of a suitable type and in a suitable location (not in a binary system, on a safe spiral arm); and 1 in a million of those have a planet in the habitable zone; and 1 in a million of those planets is an earth-moon system like ours with a large satellite and ocean waves; and on 1 in a million of those is the porridge just right for the evolution of intelligent life...

We simply don't know the answer but the lots of stars = MUST be other intelligent life assumption is nonsense.
7 to the 22 is a fairly modest number - its not that huge that it leads us to that conclusion.
8 * 1 in a thousand factors essential to life and we are going to be it. That's not to say non-radio transmitter producing life isn't a lot more common.

The only reason i posted this was because i have had a close encounter myself which i reported to the MOD 17 days before it made the Papers in 1998. When the press found out they were all over me but i refused to give interviews because off ridicule. Since then i have seen others. And also because the post i put on here the other day "Seen by Thousands but Hushed up" Regarding the shelling of a UFO in Los Angeles in 1942 was removed for some reason. But just google "Battle of Los Angeles.UFO.1942" and your get it. You can also get the Military reports. But i don't need any convincing obviously so on a clear night go outside and watch for movement. They have been measured at over a mile long so don't throw stones at them or pee them off.
