I think there's a certain arrogance in this - when you have enough scientific knowledge to actually create your own universe then I will happily accept that you actually could have a good idea about what could possibly be required to form any type of life whatsoever.

7 to the 22 is not such an overwhelmhtingly huge number that there MUST be INTELLIGENT life because there MAY be several factors of the order of 1 in a million essential to life.

It might be 10 * 1 in a million factors. It might be a 100. Totally and utterly swamping 7 to the 22.

As I've already said, it only needs a few EIGHT * 1 in a 1000 factors and even we're a statistical fluke. That isn't that many. 7 to the 22 is only a modest number, its nothing like an infinite number of stars or the kind on really big number that would have us reaching the conclusion (in our current ignorance) that there MUST be other intelligent life out there.

Then you also have to consider things like time and distance. Firstly time whilst the earth may have the conditions necessary for life to have evolved how long has inteligent life been in existance and for how long has it been advanced enough to communicate with a fraction of the thime of earths existance. Then their is distance, their might be inteligent life in existance but they could be so far away that human civilisation might have ceased to exist before we could communicate with them or vise versa.

Then we have to consider if aliens do exist are they all benign and what would they want from us a lesser advanced species.

Maybe the aliens are not actually alien but living in an otherwise parallel realm. For thousands of years surprisingly consistant stories have persisted, for many thousands of years, about visitations from strange creatures, races and such like and occasionally the ability to visit them.

Mankind had been subjected to visitors from the beginnings of recorded history, angels, demons, faeries, gods, people who have had messages from deities, saints and the like. Now as mentioned, it is aliens.

Man doesn't just live in a galaxy within a universe, a visible universe, there is so much that cannot be seen in this universe, 90 odd per cent of matter is invisible in this universe alone, by all reckoning this universe is just one of many, perhaps an infinite number.

However, I can't see how an alien technology could physically transport itself to this planet from all but the nearest stars in a way that cannot yet be understood.

If mankind is truly inteligent he will know where to look for any message that has been left for him and that may provide the means to shout out an arrival message to the rest of this and other universes.

Then again, mankind could be all alone.

This is only based on the technology we have, we assume the planets similar to our sun can support life but what about the binary systems and suns unlike ours that MAY support life or a completely different system of life not based on carbon? The universe is huge, beyond anything that we can comprehend.

Maybe this guy's getting a back-hander from FOX? It just so happens the first X-Files movie in a decade is about to hit the cinemas.

There's something real going on, no doubt about it. beyond that, it's probably not what anyone thinks it is.

You can't go too far into the UFO/alien stuff without ultimately stumbling across the real crux of this and many other seemingly unrelated paranormal matters: that apparently objective material reality is a mystery we believe we have mastered, but actually know nothing about, and that our inner, spiritual consciousness is related to the physical world in a deep and mystical way we cannot fathom, and that our secular, scientific worldview does not acknowledge or account for.

It's not all alien greys and cold metal medical tables. You'd better believe that when someone gets abducted and taken aboard a spaceship by a bearded dwarf in a diving suit and offered a slice of toast, something mighty weird is going on.

It was shown on Channel 4 news recently that scientist have now proven we did not originate from this planet and that we are indeed ourselves Aliens. So the whole story of a god sitting around and making the planet in 40 days is total bull as expected. Meanwhile the churches have made a fortune out of perpetuating this lie along with Governments who have used this as a type of brain washing mind control to control the masses with the promise of a place in Heaven if we behave ourselves.
