Migrants Briefed On British Customs

Immigrants should be given "cultural briefing packs" when they move to the UK, an official report will say today.

The information may tell new arrivals from Eastern Europe and elsewhere that, for example, the British like to queue at the Post Office and bus stop, and frown on spitting in the street.


I do know whether to laugh or cry! Frown

Of course - you can not expect people coming to live here to learn to speak English can you, where’s the diversity in that. Smile

No of course not infact it has been argued we are no longer a nation take a look at this.

Think-Tank Urges Curbs On Immigration

Immigration may be threatening Britain's status as a country, it has been claimed.

Author David Conway said that if Britain has become a "nation of immigrants" it could lead to political disintegration.

The 100-page booklet claims immigration has been allowed to continue at a "seemingly reckless pace.

"As a result of it, the country may possibly have already reached a tipping point beyond which it can no longer be said to contain a single nation.

"Should that point have been reached, then, ironically in the course of Britain having become a nation of immigrants, it would have ceased to be a nation."


We need to send home many immigrants in my opinion.

What do you mean? We don’t need integration the wonderful multi culture concept means we can have a nation comprised of tribes of people who live completely separate existences from one another and this will never, never cause any problems at all - ever! Anybody who disagrees with this utopian ideal is a racist and should be sent for re education at their local (lotto funded) diversity awareness centre.

I think these pamphlets are a good idea. Maybe not perfect but they are a starter for ten surely?
When my wife arrived from Nigeria she said to me that she wished the government provided immigrants with information regarding manners/politeness etc. This cannot be seen as a bad thing.

We will see Bobby they are calling it a cultural pack I think it will resemble a pamphlet, since we do not know what is in it makes it hard to judge how useful it will be.

Personally this is not what I want to see, I want to see efforts to prevent immigrants coming here in the first place except those we really need in key industries.

We need an Aussie style points system.
