And Deborah Arnott, of anti-smoking group Ash, pointed out that many of the products were made in China where quality control was "not very good".

Clearly Ms Arnott has missed her vocation and should be appointed a Lead Assessor of Quality Assurance Systems with all despatch.

The fact that they are made in China should set alarm bells ringing amongst all but the most desperate nicotine fans. Eek

You would have thought so, but they are still selling and no real talk of a ban of any kind yet.

Lets just hope the law covering old cigarettes is extended to cover these new ones sooner rather than later.

Why exactly? They harm nobody but the person using them.

It's quite simple really..
Even if these things prove totally safe, some people will still want them banned, because for them it was never about the health issue. Some people just want to look down on others for their lifestyle. And since it is now the era of the health/environment facists, smokers make the perfect target. They will keep on at them until they can pick on someone else, and so on, until everyone lives the same sterile, joyless neo-puritan lifestyles that they lead...

I'm still wondering when there gonna go after the drinkers.
And those that pump other harmful substances into the air for instance motorbike, and car riders etc, I suppose there time will come when a substitute is found.

Every one has a choice.
Just like you have the choice not to be a bigot. Cool

You miss the point, just like they did with ordinary cigarettes years ago, the makers are saying the second hand mist does not harm others around it, but no independent tests have been carried out.

fASHists if you will.

I'm surprised the rampant PClite anti-smokers haven't picked up on this, brought to you by your favorite do-gooding lobby group in association with YouGov.

quote:
One of our most striking findings is that as many as 77% of the public would support a ban on smoking in cars carrying children under 18. Only 11% oppose this. For the great majority of people, the health of children outweighs the freedom of adults to do what they want in their own private space. Even among smokers, supporters of a ban outnumber opponents by almost two-to-one (48% support, 27% oppose).

“No tests have been made to find out exactly what the nicotine cartridges contain”

Even the World Health Organization does not know all that’s going on in this product.

The self-righteous won't be satisfied until they have banned everything they disapprove of.
