At least these people are not paid to actively destroy the economy...

I doubt they are a typical case if this is true.

Modern Britain. Completely normal.

A load of stuff paid for with money you've not earned. Kids well into their 20s still living with mummy. No dad around. Complete lack of taste in soft funishings.

She does not have 7 "children".

In the UK, we only pay benefits for dependants, I can't see any way that her oldest sons can be classed as dependant, simply because they are lazy layabouts who live off their mother!!

Stupid headline!.
If you take away the £12,000 plus per month Housing Benefit - a local benefit - the lady receives the National benefits ie Child Tax Credit, Income Support, Child Benefit, which anyone else in her position would receive.
The fault lies with Ealing Council.
Their Council Tax payers have, perhaps, a legitimate gripe, not the whole country.
Pleased to see the NOTW is treated with such reverence.

That particular story is now a permanent feature, in case you missed it.
I've read it 100 times now, sort of believe it.

Saiedi explained that she receives £213 a week in child tax credit, £60 in child benefit plus £60 income support. But the family's biggest handout coup is their massive £12,458 a month rent, paid direct by the council to landlord Ajit Panesar.

Forget about the rent she see,s none of that money, plus she gets benefits for 5 children not 7 [4x£11.70 1x£17.50 = her £60 child benefit}.Therefore she receives exactly the same as every other single parent family with 5 children. It,s not their fault there are no council houses,it,s not their fault the local councellors are imbeciles with the foresight of goldfish either. Also it appears she has got hold of a credit card and has lived beyond her means and now cannot pay her water bill. I wonder how many other families have been hoodwinked into credit debt by a well known company that deliberately target unemployed people. Yes unemployed people can get a credit card,no problem! except when you miss a payment it will cost you 40 quid on top of your 29.9% interest,LEECHES!.

This article is shameful and deceitful,i don,t blame this woman at all and if she were white this would get no publicity at all.She did not ask for this house and it appears she does not want it either.

Already at university?

At age 22? Give that guy a prize. He must be very capable.

Time was that most people graduated at 21.

Quite - perfectly correct Arthur.
Sadly, some people jump, or want to jump without thought, onto the bash 'em bandwagon.
The NOTW should be reported to the Press body.

You can't balme the family in cases like these, it's down to the system, the broken and woefully corrupt local councils. Would you given the circumstances turn down such an offer were it made to you ?

Of course not, so why would you expect this family to do the same ? The family are just taking advantage of a system that needs to be over hauled, and the council obviously needs to have an employee review.

when we claim to be home of liberty, freedom and a civilised society, when we go invading countries and giving out our brochures then dont you think that some of those fleeing our bombs might actually believe our propaganda?

fact is 97% of the worlds refugees/asylum seekeres dont even get to the front door of the eu .. and of those that do around a third try to get to the uk.

why the uk ..because they are victims of our empire and the belief that we really are a civilised society , the motherland.

And all of the above means that local councils should be able to spend our money on 12,500 per month rent.

There is nothing untrue about the story so accusing people of hysteria is just a tad silly.
