Anyhow betweent hem they have sewn up the supply of virtually the entire Caspian Basin ans squashed every US Plan to setablish their own Pipelines from the region. For those who do not follow the significance, the US did not want these regional reserves for its own domestic supply, but to own the supplies to sell to Europe and this ensure that EU countries remained " on message". These supplies have been retained by Russia and Iran and transmission to Europe will come via the Russian pipelines. The US loses influence Russia gains considerably.

Thank you for this information. It is a shame you can't send the links. So at least the Iranians civilians can sleep without worrying about being bombed.

Although i am pleased that America are no longer the only superpower, the worry is will the Russians and Chinese behave like America.

America is no longer the only superpower? Who is the supposed new superpower? Russia or China? Not!

There isn't much chance the Russians and Chinese would behave like America if they became a superpower. America supports freedom and democracy. Russia and China oppose freedom and democracy.

What fine line are the Iranians treading? We know they are NOT developing a nuclear bomb, so what are they doing other than trading THEIR oil with other countries.

If they are not running an illegal nuclear weapons program, what are they doing building a plutonium-production reactor?

They don't need them. If Russia and China are involved then they will prevent any bombing.

Not without any capability to prevent the bombing they won't.

The rest of the World and seem to disbelieve you. America has become as reviviled as its middle east friends.

They always say you can tell a person/Country by its friends.

Why exactly? Who have the Iranians attacked recently - recently being the last 200 years? Then draw me a joke comparison with US history post WW2 - which one clearly appears more dangerous?

Maybe they have a plutonium-production reactor because they want to come out with a new line of coat hangers made out of weapons-grade plutonium.

They can do whatever they like frankly as long as it isn't bombing anyone else which, given the history you've hopefully just researched, seems highly unlikely. They also, despite the massive resources available, don't seem particularly keen on having themselves slaved to your petroleum as heroin scheme, running since 1953, where US Neocons burgle the world's resources in a pathetically desperate attempt to stay in charge - regardless of the number of deaths involved. I'd say that was pretty smart of the Iranians Wink

Problem is, once they start operating their plutonium-production reactor, it will be too late to bomb it (unless we are willing to cause another Chernobyl), so "how close Iran is to a bomb" is meaningless. What counts is how close they are to starting their plutonium-production reactor.

Counts to whom? About 20 psychotic, sociopathic pro-Israeli moles disguised as the US leadership? Oh, and lest we forget, those corporate parasites that make a killing, financial and otherwise, out of US conflict.

quote:
Doesn't change the fact that they are trying to build them.

Whilst Israel, a theocratic based 'fledgling democracy', has over 200+ nukes, and a whole host of other chems and bios stashed at Nes Ziona, alongside a 'final option' plan to start WW3, by nuking all and sundry, if it comes to it. That seems a substantially more developed, and dangerous, plan than anything the Iranians currently have on the table quite frankly.

quote:
Yep. Time to start bombing Iran.

And now they inspectors have been to Iran it's time to send them into Israel whether she likes it or not - if they don't comply, like the Iranians have already done, sanction the living daylights out of them.

Have you ever thought of applying for the part of General Ripper in the stage play of 'Dr Strangelove'?

Anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism do seem to go hand in hand. But it is not accurate to pin such bigotry and backwardness on the entire world.

There was the bombings of our Marines in Beirut in the 1980s, and the bombings of our soldiers in Saudi Arabia in the 1990s.

The only people who've murdered more Americans than Iran has, are WWII Japan and Osama bin Ladn.

The fact that the police frequently fight criminals does not mean the police are a threat.

Nope. International law says that it is illegal for Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

Counts to anyone who doesn't want the bombing of Iran to result in another Chernobyl.

Only a danger to those who seek to destroy Israel.

That would be illegal, and would be an act of war. Israel would be justified under international law to use lethal force against anyone who tried such a thing.

Also illegal, and also an act of war. No thanks.

Saw Dr Strangelove on the telly last week. I have to agree with you, Oralloy has GOT to be auditioning, or have a wicked sense of humour and be parodying it... his rhetoric is so fantastically apropos. Big Grin

Reality is not a caricature.

What is reality? Your reality is not mine, and mine is not somebody else's. A young, female, middleclass professional is not liable to inhabit the same reality tunnel as an elderly, ex-military, undernourished hobo, for example... Frown

Now, see, Oralloy, that is where you are having the problem... you think everyone inhabits the same reality tunnel as you do... this must, indeed, be a feature of your reality tunnel - failure to recognise everyone else's! Big Grin

All just as unhealthy but I'd rather have dimsum/poppadum food than McDonald's burgers. Yummy...

Only your reality is reality to you... it's called individual perception.... Witch

Oralloy, America is almost financially bankrupt.
And please don't confuse people who are anti American administration and Israeli government with anti semitism and Americanism. The vast majority of people have nothing against American and Jewish people, just thier governments.

So you don't even believe your own intelligence service when they say that Iran stopped it's nuclear programme in 2003. Or is it sencored from the public?
