I've just found out that Al Lewis died on Friday, aged 95, after several years of failing health. He was the father in law of Herman in 'The Munsters' and played played Grandpa.

It is old and unbelievable, but 'The Munsters' is funny. RIP Al.

The Munsters were great! i have thread on this in the "back In The Day" Forum, but it doesnt seem that they like it all that much!

Thanks for responding a_grylls. My post must have begun to feel very lonely!

I've never noticed the 'Back In The Day' forum before, which would have been a better place to have put my topic. As you say, most of those replying to your posting there do seem not to have liked the Munsters.

The Munsters was simple fun that made me laugh.

Sad. The Munsters were so much better than the Adams Family.

I prefered the munsters to adams family. i used to love the fact the police or someone would knock on the door and the "wierd" niece would answer it. Classic

It was funny how the family always felt sorry for Marilyn and were worried that with her 'looks' she would not be attractive to men! The Munsters were simple but good fun.
