any opinions on this...? i thought it was pretty hit and miss really, a bit tired in places...
unfortunately some of it felt like clips left out of brass eye or the day today, also reminded me a little of the 'hugh' sketches in 'the armando iannucci show' (which was rather good by the way...)

I've watched both shows so far and just can't get into it. I'm an Armando Iannucci fan of old, and normally love his stuff, but this just leaves me cold. Charlie Brooker's Screen Wipe, that follows immediately after Time Trumpet (albeit on BBC4), is infinitely more entertaining IMO.

Nice to see Stewart Lee back on telly, mind.

Have to say I am loving the Time Trumpet (ahh a trip down memory lane)!
Huge Armando fan and have to say another gem-egg has been produced by this comediman.

The weather with real human blood had me in stitches and so did 'Beckham' with his grafted arm trophy of a female netherpart!

Also enjoy Charlie Brooker's ScreenWipe as he's a bit mental and all too.

PS: Anyone know what happened to the scheduled release of Armando Iannucci Shows on DVD ?????

Its 'The Day Today', but in 2006. Armando has already done this stuff before with Chris Morris.
