lol i love watching people fight! i dont really understand why people who dont like little britain would come on a little britain forum. i like it but i still think its a bit overrated, i cant wait to see what new characters they have come up with, i hope theres not anything as disgusting as "bitty".

The first series of Little Britain was excellent and I really enjoyed it when it was first shown back in 2003.
However I had very high expectations regarding the second series, and I felt that the second series was an enormous disappointment and the show itself felt incredibly repetitive. You can predict what is going to happening in every single sketch; Vicky Pollard mouths off, Lou turns his back and Andy walks, Emily insists she's a lady despite displaying much male behaviour, Daffyd insists he's the only gay despite more and more evidence to the contrary and Andy asks for something, which he promptly receives only to decide that he doesn't like it. It was all funny the first time; but there is no character development at all and its basically a one joke show IMO.
Even the new characters for Season 2 were terrible, as they relied totally on visuals and special effects, and had nothing to do with the talents of Matt Lucas and David Walliams, who have been milking this shows for every penny its worth in my opinion. There were the WI ladies who vomit at everything (special effects, not good writing), Bubbles, the repulsive health-spa inhabitant who takes off her clothes to reveal a grotesque fat suit (special effects, not good writing), etc.
And that is why I don't like Little Britain (series 2 particularly) and I feel it is way to overrated and far too repetitive to be regarded as classic comedy. It pales badly in comparison when consider other comedy highlights from 2004, such as Nighty Night, Green Wing, etc.
However, not to be hypocritcial but I will give the first episode of the new series a go, but I don't hold out much hope.

Why did I make a thread about something I don't like?
I made this thread because a lot of people do like Little Britain and I thought people, Little Britain fans would be interested and would appreciate the news and transmission details of its third series.

well i was gonna make the thread if it weren't here anyway.. little britain cracks me up and i'm thinkin i might just get me tv license now so i can watch it!
I'll go with the side of "for" LB. In fact I'm off to see the boys at their best in Glasgow live on Thursday so will actually miss episode 1 of series 3.
