Does anyone know if "they" are planning for another series of Nathan Barley.

I have it on DVD and it's one of my favourites, I've just watched it again and it has whet my appetite for more...

Can't believe it will be only one series long..

The fact it is a Chris Morris project means it shouldn't be suprising if it's only one series long. I have to say this show grew on me the more I watched it and I am huge Morris fan but I'm not sure where they could go with it as a show. And quite a few of the actors in it have been/are busy doing other projects.

Nathan Barley was an underrated gem of British comedy. So was Monkey Dust. I treasure the memory of them both.

i liked bits of it tho i would have to disagree and say it wasnt an underrated gem of british comedy. there were too many bits that i just didnt find funny an even a little irritating.
though i liked the one with the paints and his 'new look'. that was good

i had watched two episodes of Barley and wrote it off as another 'Middle-classed' academic critique on the degeneration of culture by culture.

Its funny how the very people destroying the 'culture' or the line between 'funny' and 'funny because its bad/unfunny' thought to critique the same distinction in print media.hmmm...

But there are some funny moments and its alot better than Boosh even though i like Boosh.

More comedy like this needs to be made- with a motive and an overarching narrative ( i know i;m such a square) but not by the same people as they rehash their same intentions over and OVER AND OVER again..

and Jim it didn't have mass appeal because nobody got it!!

lol..please it was ambiguously advertised on purpose and it didn't work-

ALSO if you feed a dog shit for long enough when you try and give it a bone it'll turn its nose up at it.

whatever Moon

Will chris brooker and chris morris be writing it, I heard they fell out. An comedian chap who had a minor role told me Mr. Morris was chatty while Chris Brooker was more Aloof. Both are creative persons,

though watching screenwipe I wonder what happened to Victor Lewis Smith's TV and Radio stuff. Old VLS was way ahead of the wind up celebrities culture which has dominated "comedy' in the last 9 years.

Has anybody heard anything more about the second series of Barley. I watched one on the telly and then managed to miss the others but bought the dvd and have grown to cherish and love it like a small cuddly puppy.
Its a bit sick and depraved and thats why I like it.
I think there was masses of scope for a second run. we only really got to know a couple of the characters. What about Jonatton Yeah! and Doug Rocket, Toby and the piss artist that is 15 Peter. I'd watch an episode on any of them.
