These are the real ba dsit-coms in my opinion, argue away.
Vicar of Dibley: Armado Iannucci said "Its a less funny version of Father Ted and Passion of Christ" he's bob on.
2 Pints of Lager, etc: Some nutter tried to convince me that the poor acting was intentional. What about the shit jokes?
Carrie and Barrie, Thats Jasper Carrott one, Eyes Down, anything like that.
But you all know these the ones you might get upset with are:
Red Dwarf: So that geeks can roleplay. Ab Fab: It never has been. Open All Hours: Just not funny, makes me want to either take my eye ball out for a polish or turn off the TV, up to know i've been sensible and just switched off.
Black Books: It shoulkd work. Moran funny, Bailey Genuis. The two of them with no real script. It just not that good.
Anything with Johnny Vegas in it.
Anything American that isn't Larry Davids work.
Thats to wet your whistle, there are loads more but like i said that merely is to wet your whistle
It would have worked if it was still the 1990's (With shows like Fast show and Vic and Bob)... It just seems outdated and boring today. Ha ha I get it! repeat a joke each week. Funny.
I neither know nor care about the rest but "Red Dwarf" is just a classic. I watched a 5 minute clip the other day on one of those freebie dvd's in the newspaper and it STILL makes me laugh! Maybe it's a nerd thing! (Not that I'm a nerd, obviously)
Larry David is the brain behins Seinfeld and stat of "Curb your enthusiasm"
Red Dwarf isn't bad i'll retract that its just the fans put me off bringing in scripts and things in school.
Also "The Brittas Empire" has just been added as well as "The Thin Blue Line" Bar the charecter that came out with the classic lines "Its my arse on the line i don't want a cock up!" And so forth
Larry David is a genius!!! Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld are 2 of the grreatest sitcoms ever. Agree with you on Open All Hours. I've tried to watch it but never laughed once.
You rang m'lord never appealed to me. Bored me senseless. Had to sit through it every Sunday night when it was on as the little girl i babysat for loved it.

vicar of dibley is ok, not that fussed about it.
2 pints is great.
never seen carrie and barrie.
red dwarf is one of the best sitcoms ever.
ab fab i dont watch.
open all hours is good for a little giggle but nothing more (i like ronnie barker, hes great in it).
black books ive only watched a couple but they made me laugh.
i hate johnny vegas.
i hate all american sitcoms apart from friends (which i am getting sick of now with all of the repeats). seinfeld is absolute crap. americans have a weird sense of humour, have you seen their version of the office? its so rubbish, its like theyve got all these people to just read out a script with no enthusiasm or care. the only decent things theyve done is cartoons - family guy, american dad, futurama and simpsons.
You shan't.I could.You wouldn't.I would.You wouldn't.I wod.You wodn't.I hod.You hodn't.I nod.You nodn't.I cod.You codn't.I did do.You didn't do.I do.You doodn't, now look away, I'm...You peed.I peedn't.You ped.I pedn't.You pedant?!No... I... you pedant!No.Yes.No, take it back.No, you take it back.No, take it back.No, you take it back.Take it back.
Red Dwarf to me is fantastic, but, I have overwatched most of it now, although I do laugh to myself about some little sketches from it, two pints is bad, but I enjoy it and I agree with the rest!

ooooh! sounds good Jim, I will definately be tuning in to that.... mind you, I was very disappointed when I watched the E4 50 greatest sketches, monty python should have been at least in the top ten....
*shakes fist at e4*

sitcom is in a bad way in this country..( in my humble opinion) but thats because the same 'voice' is behind all of the with a lot of the same actors in them..so whateva..
Johnny Vegas has been gob shi'ite in most of his comedic preformance but this new one has something nice about it...not neccessaryily funny but its interesting to watch at times...
Peter Kay - Pheonix Night, Max and Paddy - good ol' British comedy
and Curb Your Enthusiasm is a funnier brand of the Extras comedy..if only because of the seinfeld association in writers,Larry and the fact that people just respect the Charles,David and Mehlmann writing
Ricky Gervais wrecked his legacy of the Office with Extras..cheap gags, using the same comic timing as the Office but not to as great an effect..jokes about race and people with a disabilities isn;t funny if you just say the subtext of the joke..thats just poor and lazy writing ( in my humble opinion) ohh well i'm sure he'll think long and hard about how literal and crap it was while he wipes his patooty with fivers from all the DVD sales..
