Very disappointing Laughed twice. We all sat down to watch this OVER-HYPED 'comedy'. Any excuse to show more models with hardly any clothes - HA HA. Is it trying to encourage plastic surgery? The fattest people in the world live in the States, so where is the representation? Why use a Mexican girl as the geek? We all know that they look down on Mexicans! Why laugh AT someone else? Embarassing show. It did not make any sense. My daughters hated it and certainly will not stay in just to watch this trash.

Ha! I was completely the opposite - expected to hate it after the hype but actually rather enjoyed it
I think Betty being hispanic and not fitting the 'beautiful' steorotype is taking the rise out of the magazine/beauty industry itself - she is complex, intellegent and grounded - all the things her co-workers are not.

I actually quite liked it. Didnt love it and probably wont buy the box set but thought it was entertaining on a vey easy level. Just what I need at the end of the week!
I never trust them when they say "America's smash hit comedy" they said that about desperate housewives and I lasted 4 episodes before accepting it as garbage.
I was expecting a laugh a minute 'friends' style comedy but was quite suprised that it's a bit cleverer. Not sure about the back story with the father & the supposed dead woman... a bit desperate housewives. At least it's something to watch on a friday!
