This is the first series of Mock the Week which I have watched and was surpised at how funny it is. great to see Andy Parsons on television reguarly.

yeh i love that show! i especially like it when theres a random topic and the board and each personhas to act like a moron or something anyways its really good

I think it's quite good, Fizzwizzle, but a bit disorganised. But that does make it good.

I watched it for the first time last night and thought it was good, not a very original format, but very funny none the less.

And, in fact, extremely well organised for those with ears/eyes to see... nothing spontaneous without prior arrangement!

I saw it for first time last night too. It's sort of "Have I got whose mock is it anyway." I wonder how much is scripted though?

I think hardly any of it is spontaneous- I reckon like on (the now very tired) HIGNFY they all see the topics beforehand to work on the gags,

but very funny nonetheless.

I think it's very funny. Frankie Boyle is hysterical as is Hugh Dennis. I much prefer Mock the Week to HIGNFY.

I agree it is more off the cuff humour than that of HIGNFY it has had it's moment. Some close to the bone humour from Mock of the week Quality!.

I LOVE Mock the Week! I watch it every week, It's sooooooo funny! How can anyone else not like it 'that much'? I think it's brilliant. It's really funny, as is Have I Got News For You. They're all really funny.

Main reason to watch this show is for non-musical Proclaimer Frankie Boyle. He's on every week and it's as if it's all geared towards him. Magic!

frankie boyle andy parsons gina yashere... its a graveyard for rubbish commiedians that are NEVER going to make it. Frankie Boyle is deeply deeply unfunny but he thinks hes hilarious.

The teams have been screwed up now that Rory Bremner has left. The second team has no captain at all, while the first team has two captains in the form of Hugh Dennis and Frankie Boyle. They even both do the 'What Is He Thinking' round and get points for it, though they are on the same team. Boyle should really be the captain of the other team atleast.

i prefer when the points are for answers and the comedies there on top, not when contestants get marks for how funny they are being

Exactly! I think it's funny.

I love this show and went to see it - its not the same without Rory Bremner. He really mastered the impressions round - Boyle can't do impressions, hates anyone who takes a joking stab at the Scots and can only tell rude jokes - he used to be one of my favs until i saw it and realised that - he is still really funny though. Hugh Dennis makes the show for me, he is really funny, and naturally funny - they really do make all this stuff up on the spot. Did ne1 see the one with Clive Anderson? That man is the most boring man alive - he isn't funny! He made one funny joke the whole night and that was when the cameras were off.
