in the voting for the top 50 comedy characters mark heap is listed under his own name rather than his characters name- like all the other nominees also, he is not in the a-z under mark OR alan i want to channel 4 to correct this, but dont know how... Jess

He's not the only one, Simon Pegg and Rik Mayall are up as actors not characters as well. To be fair Mark Heap is a comedy genius in everything he does, its a bit of a pity he isn't up there for Brian as well.
I don't know its an impossible choice, i'll just have to hope that when I flip the coin it somehow explodes and kills me.
I agree that it needs to be changed. I've emailed and telephoned Channel 4 a few times, but nothing has been done about it!
And whilst on the subject, the website says you can email any characters you want to vote for if they're not on the list. I wanted to vote for Dr. Caroline Todd from "Green Wing" but as there is no email, I can't vote for her! There's no justice!
