About a year and a half ago, practically nothing else was spoken about on this forum but Black Books. It is indeed utter genius  which as you can see is perfectly represented by a pumpkin.

I was given the DVD box set of this for Christmas and have watched it repeatedly since - it's BRILLIANT! How on earth did I miss it when it was first shown?!?!?! Anyone else a fan?

Yeh, I discovered it well late compared to everyone else. Now I only get to see it when I visit my ex because he's got millions of them. Unless it's going to be repeated again.

The Elephant and the Hens is brilliant talk to me, probably my personal favourite.

lol..what's wrong with that? i like saying cup..i don't care to swear  and what i meant was that shows are always by "the people who brought you"..that is to say, that the same person who wrote one show is allowed to write 6 more rather than allowing someone else a pop at it...that was my point..sorry if it was badly communicated ( no high school) |

Yup, Tamsin was in BB before Green Wing and those other things she's been in. I can't remember what they are now, but they are mainstream things....oh Love Soup

Hi Everyone, I'm new here, and new to Black Books. I was a fan of Bill Bailey's stand up stuff and decided to give it a try. I LOVE it and I've still got the second and third series to look forward to. I've even loaded it onto my MP4 player, to cheer myself up on my lunchbreaks at work. I just love the way it's so surreal, yet human. As you can tell from my username, Manny is my favourite character (at the moment anyway).
