Just saw the third episode, and have to say that I thought it was pretty poor. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for this programme being a success, but I though the plot was awful, and the whole 'shit on the head' thing just didn't work for me.
I'm also getting really annoyed with Roy, or at least the actor playing him. he just too over the top all of the time and unbalances the scenes he's in. Moss get pulled into it as well - he is starting to lose his 'nerdyness'.
This episode was also missing Chris Morris, who is brilliant.
Here's hoping Ep #4 will be a lot better!

Was it on here or digispy that someone quoted a US comedy writer as saying "If you want to make a line funnier, have it said LOUDER" Sadly I think thats what they've done with Roy & it just makes him more annoying. At least the audience laughter has been toned down a little this week...
Oh dear. I loved this episode (despite the shit on the head) and even registered over on the IT Crowd Forum as Fan no 13.
They do talk too loudly mind you, I guess because the studio audience is forcing them to be a bit too theatrical. But there were many, many great lines. And I think Moss and Jen are particularly wonderful.
episode 3 was certainly less funny than the first two...
don't worry though it picks up again.

yes yes, the third ep was disappointing in comparison to the first two, but still.

^ that seems a bit incomplete - i mean: but still, there's two more to come.

Episode 3 was very poor. The gag with the shit was awful. If you see someone with a brown substance on their face, you think chocolate. If it turns out to be shit, it's a big surprise. This was just lazy writing at its worst. If the script had been shown to a producer, without Linehan's name on it, they would have assumed it was from a third class media student. Still want to like it, but there really was nothing to like this time around.
