I've seen it, I've finally seen it all, it's so marvellous I'm still reeling. Wonderful close-ups of Julian and the kisses! I thought I would be disappointed and I was not, I can't tell you how rare that is. I love Sue White - her scream at the auction was so funny but it almost made me cry because I would have done the same.
My mind is still filled with all these images I can't think straight about it yet.

Whoever would have thought incest could be so funny! I loved the fight scene, and f-----g hug, there is just so much I still can't talk sensibly about it. I will watch it again, one episode at a time so I can think about it properly. I see why you all fell in love with Mac, if I didn't love Julian already I suppose I might have loved his character best, but I will always adore Julian for himself and through his characters. I'm rambling already, I'd better stop soon. You can imagine how much fantasizing I've been doing these past 4 days. Non-stop. There was so much tenderness in the way Mac looked at Caroline, and the way he teased her. I'd do literally anything to have JRT look at me like that, even if it was only acting...

I have been trying to post here for days but kept getting error messages, what was going on? Have I missed any JRT news? I haven't had a chance to read thru all the posts for the past week or so.

Doesn't Alan remind you of Rik Mayall's character in The Young Ones? Any news about the 2nd season?

Ah, Millefleurs, so pleased you made it back, we've been worried about you.

The forum was playing up no end last week (possibly due to over-enthusiastic Big Brother fans, possibly due to upgrades - who knows?) so that'll be why you've had trouble posting. No new JRT news that I've noticed, so don't worry, you didn't miss much.

Glad you found GW lived up to expectations, *now* you see why we went so mental about it last year. Series 2 is still filming (as far as I know) and on schedule for transmission in the UK early next year. And the Region 2 DVD is meant to be out in October, with extras and things. Gearing up for a new outburst of enthusiasm when that comes around.

EekOMG Millefleurs Eek Am I glad to 'see' you back! We were worried about you. So glad you've finally got to see GW. I bet it was great to see it all with no ads or censoring. The slave auction episode is so frustrating isn't it? I remember the first time I saw it, I was like Noooooooooooooooo!!! (Not unlike Sue White, lol.) I couldn't believe Mac had a GF and I thought that was it! Thank goodness there was a happy ending (so to speak!) Anyway, don't leave it so long next time. Come back and regale us with your thoughts again soon. <3 Choccy. x

It's good to see that you were finally able to watch it! We were all quite concerned as everyone has pointed out!
Hehe, don't flush, it's lush. I'm going to have that popping into my head for the next couple of days now.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, you lot are like my "84 Charing Cross Road" - you have to be at least 30 to remember that film - the link being TV instead of antique books. I try to stay away when I'm depressed but I can't.

I was putting a band in my ponytail today, and I suddenly started thinking about Sue White and her 'squirrel?' and the scene when Mac asks to borrow her hair band and barette to put in the Lion's Mane for his interview. Green Wing is a part of my life, there is no going back....

Is this it?
Has it started already?
Only July and it's started already?
How am I going to cope?
October! That's a long way off when faced with the massed armies of JRT.

I know, em, it must be hard. Best to keep them all clearly labelled, eh?

If it's any consolation my own imminent holiday is likely to turn the race for three gold stars into a two horse race between you and Jack.

Umm... that's probably not much of a consolation, is it? Sorry. I hear Hayling Island is lovely at this time of year. Actually, where is Hayling Island?

Hayling Island? You go past the Forbidden Zone (Portsmouth), over the River Stix (the mud flats), past the gate keeper (mad old guy with bags on his feet) and you're there!
Hades.
Lovely this time of year. Nice and hot.

It does look very much as if, as predicted by you some time ago, the early fella is going to leap ahead and win it by some furlongs (just to stretch that not-very-original racing metaphor a little further). I'm going to retire to the paddock. Or something. Who wants a Pimm's?

You are incorrigible, Millefleurs

It's only a very silly race to be the first to three little gold stars (1500 posts, we think) between Cello, earlyman, Jack and me. Which earlyman is well on course to win, partly because I understand he's been parading himself around the music forums as well as on here.

Oh that! If the forum weren't so slow and messed up I would challenge them both, and get to 3000 before you reach your goals.

There are very few things that can't in some way be related to gw/JRT.

I think I've fallen at the first hurdle and am about to be shot.

Yes, it's like the metaphorical 'track' is unraceable due to waterlogging.
